At first, we had room 303 which wasn't quite isolated from the noise but as soon as we told them, they changed the room and moved our things while we were out. The new room was just perfect!

The location is great! It's close to the party street but you don't notice the noise at night because the rooms are well isolated. Jan and the rest of the staff were lovely, always trying to make our stay the best they could. They helped us with the taxis to the airport, how to move into the city and even changed our room when we asked for it without any problem.

the staff were all so friendly and helpful. Jan allowed us to check-in early and gave us a bigger room because my friend was injured and Moon helped us to book a bus to our next location. The breakfast was delicious and the location was very central but still incredibly quiet.

The shower head was a little hard to manoeuvre, but it was nothing to be worried about considering how immaculate everything else was.

The location is perfect for any age, with Bui Vien (Walking Street) just at the end of the Alley Way. You would think it would be loud because of how close it is, but you can’t hear a thing!

During breakfast, there were flies in the dining area and there was no air-con inside. The wifi in the room had poor connection at times.

When I arrived, I met Moon. She was a helpful staff. If I can rate her service, it would be 11 out of 10. The breakfast were good. I strongly recommend the "famous noodle" and egg noodle. For drinks, I like the white coffee best. Black coffee was quite good too. Fruits were provided. I was staying at the ground level. The room was clean and tidy. The toilet was ok. Towels were provided. The location was good and easy to visit various popular places. I met Lee and Jan, the hosts of the hostel. And Lee introduced me a lot of food places to go. Do check out Quán Ngon. On my birthday, Jan, Moon and Lee's sister surprised me with a cake, flower and fruits. Appreciated that :) I have been several parts of Vietnam over the last 6 years. And I must say that this is my favourite accommodation in Vietnam. Highly recommended!

Having to leave at the end of my stay.

The place was very clean and in a great location for seeing the city and very close to the party street but just far away enough to not hear the noise from the hostel. The staff were amazing so nice and friendly and helpful they really took care of us, we had breakfast included and had a big plate of fruit and a drink as well as the breakfast we ordered it was lovely. We will definitely stay there again.

Some of the pictures on Booking.com had had their aspect changed, which meant reality wasn't quite the same (e.g. the 'balcony' was much smaller than the photo represented). Also, the room we booked was advertised as having a TV, but there wasn't one.

We enjoyed our stay. Most of the staff were extremely friendly and accomodating. Breakfast was simple but nice. Room was fairly basic, but clean and quiet, especially considering the location. We loved the big fridge! The location is perfect for District 1-down one of the quiet lanes that are so integral to the area.

Location. Facilities. The staff are wonderful. The owner, Ms. Jan is a gracious host. She and her staff Moon, Fu and Andy treated us like family. My grandson, Niccolo, said it’s like being in a home away from home. It’s how they treat their guests that makes all the difference. We will definitely stay at Jan’s hostel again. Highly recommended. I love the place. Super value for the amount guests pay. The free breakfast is great, too. It’s a gem of a place to stay in Ho Chi Minh City.

-Be mindful of which room you book. Look at the pictures and room sizes carefully. We had to change our room as it was too small for us but the staff sorted it out straight away! (it was our mistake anyway, no fault to them!!).

The hotel is really clean and in an excellent location. You are walking distance to everything the city has to offer! I fell super sick when I arrived and Annie, Moon and Jan brought me fruit daily and made me fruit tea everyday and did all they could to help me get better. I have never had such wonderful hospitality and caring nature from any hotel I have stayed in. The ladies were amazing and I reallyyyyy appreciated them! Thank you ladies, you are the best! Such a great stay here it was perfect!

We organised to do some laundry through Jan’s brother, who did not speak good English. We explained that our clothes are made from wool and couldn’t go through the dryer. We took time to check that he understood, including using Google translate, and he assured us that he did. When we got the clothes back, several had shrunk and when we went looking for a missing sock the man operating the laundromat assured us it could not have been his fault because he had “simply moved our laundry straight from the washing machine into the dryer”. We didn’t raise it with Jan as the clothes would be too expensive for someone on a Vietnamese income to reasonably replace.

Jan was lovely, place is great, good central but quiet location, good breakfast.

We initially got put in a room without a TV (as backpackers we were looking forward to a rare movie night not in a dorm) but that was quickly solved as Jan & the staff moved us to another room with one! Above and beyond and even put our stuff back in the exact same places. Will 100% be returning and would recommend.

Great central location, clean modern rooms and the staff were absolutely amazing in accommodating us! Breakfast was lovely, came with a nice big plate of fruit and the bed was the comfiest mattress I’ve ever slept on.

The chicken waking us up at 5 am was a surprise :)

Service was top notch. We arrived at midnight and Jan was there to open for us and check us in. The rooms are very good, the breakfast is delicious, and we're happy we came! As much as the location is very central and close to the bars, it's not noisy at night.
