The location of the property is close to everything! I pretty much just walked a few minutes to places I went to. The owner Jan is also really nice! Another staff is also really nice and even says hi and remembers my name. Oh I can’t forget Tony too, he recommended the best places to eat. I would be back here if I go back to Saigon. I love the breakfast too, simple yet filling!

The king room is advertised with two beds but be aware that one is a cot and not comfortable. Jan was quick to give us a new room but where the first room was impressively quiet, given the constant party of the surrounds, the new room was in another building, which was noisy. But the place is vibey and good value - don't let my middle aged grumbles put you off!

The staff are bubbly and keen to help, the beds are a dream and breakfast is great.

An excellent stay - just like staying with old friends. Both Jan and Lee were super friendly, welcoming and full of great suggestions to help during our stay (and even helped with transport information even after we had checked out. Breakfast was excellent with a variety of choices (both western and Vietnam staple) and included a lovely plate of fresh fruit and coffee. The location was perfect - steps away from the action, but quiet on the rooms. A good value laundry was only steps away and returned clothes in only hours! The room was very clean and well presented and had one of the most comfortable beds we’ve found in Vietnam. Very good value for money! Lee and Jan - you’ve been wonderful hosts and we look forward to returning to stay again.

No windows in the room. Pictures were not the same as the actual room (we saw 2 and both didn’t were like the ones on booking). Corners in the bathroom had mold. Water was one time coming out of the lamp in the bathroom. You could hear the neighbours through the walls (but when going to bed we had no noise issues)

Very good breakfast. Very kind staff which welcomed us very well. Because we arrived a bit earlier than expected our room wasn’t done so we received a fruit plate in the meantime. The bed was very comfortable. We also felt very safe there.

It was just a little bit more noisy in the evening/night, but nothing that would keep us awake. If you cannot sleep at all with any noise, then bring some ear plugs.

I liked breakfast, the Pho was very good, but also the eggs. It was awesome that there was an a/c in the room because Ho Chi Minh city is crazy hot. The staff was really good and helpful as well. We found it was really good value.

Towels could use some bleaching. A place for toiletries in shower, and getting some, would be nice. Nothing really bad though.

We really liked this hotel. Clean and cozy. Well located next to the main street, but without noise from this street. And you can have a rest after long walks. There is very polite and helpful staff. They are ready to help you to solve any issues. They use mobile translator, so why you don't have problems with communication, even if you don't know English. We would like to thank the owner of the hostel, because he really helped us with our lost luggage. We really recommend this hotel!

Perfect short stay in a big city! Located in a very quiet street, when one of the busiest night life street is only 2 streets away! Very nice and modern room, very comfortable bed, very clean. Very friendly staff with excellent dinner recommendation. Walking around in Ho Chi Minh is a bit of a struggle, partly due to distances and traffic, but the big market is not far and from there you can easily access a hop on hop off bus to visit the city. And I appreciated the packed breakfast early in the morning before going to the airport.

I didn't feel comfortable in the first room because I had the feeling that it wasn't that clean. It was also quite loud because of the proximity to the lobby. But as mentioned before, a room swap after the first night was possible, so I was happy with that. The room doors are made of frosted glass and are not soundproof. My room had only curtains to darken the room, so to have some privacy you have to shut out the daylight.

Jan and Lee are great hosts, providing support in every matter. Changing the room was no problem, after I didn’t feel comfortable in the first room during my first night there. There’s a quick and reliable laundry service as well. My room was equipped with a fridge, which is useful

Jan and her staff were fabulous. Very happy and accommodating. It was my son’s 12th birthday, and Jan had a birthday cake waiting for us on our arrival. There is also a laundry 2 doors down which was very convenient.

- Wall between bathroom and bedroom is kinda see through, not a big deal because I was with my partner - Hotel is in a quiet street between Bui Viên and a big road. So noise is okay, but if you are sensitive to it you might want to wear earplugs. Also we probably heard a bit more because we had a window room on the last floor.

- Breakfast was delicious (we had noodle soup everytime), you can also choose continental. - Staff very nice, gave great recommendation for changing money and places to eat. They welcome you with fruits and had our room ready 3 hours before the planned time. - Room was nice and well furnished, we got a room with window and balcony on the last floor. Could not hear neighbors. - They give you water bottles for free and you can refill them from a bigger mineral watercan. - Good location

it was in the perfect location, we really love it there. We booked a room with breakfast included we really loved that they always served us fresh fruits everyday. And the staff were really helpful they recommended us restaurants and all of them were so good. And a cocktailbar as well it was perfect. There was a day that we couldnt eat breakfast at the hotel because we had an early tour the staff were able to prepare us a breakfast for us to take for our tour. We really appreciated it. They were so thoughtful and on our check out we had to stay a bit in the lobby and they offered us a bottle water. Small details like that can make a difference. They were so hospitable

This is a wonderful, quiet location where you can easily walk to so much of what Ho Chi Minh City has to offer. Jan and Lee are clearly good at what they do and take care of their people because the staff reflects that in every interaction. Everyone is kind, helpful, and happy to assist if you need it. The room we had was in the second building just around the corner and was very comfortable. Breakfast was good and varied a bit from day to day. I would highly recommend Jan Hostel.

Not as modern as photos show. We chose one with a balcony but it was just a small alcove beside the door with no where to sit or look out.

Very good location close to walking street however very sound proof as was not disturbed by noise at all. Breakfast was great and the staff are super friendly and helpful.

The tap in the bathroom sink needs to be tightened but not a big deal. We'd definitely stay again!
