How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Large bed, bigger than I expected. Found a bit firm but then I was hardly in room. Room cleaned regularly Great location 2min walk to beach and near a bar, Maad City that played good hip hop music… Staff were helpful and attentive. Breakfast was nice and a few options to choose

The hotel is in a good location just a five minute walk from the beach. There are bars, restaurants and shops close by. The room was clean and was made up each day. The rooftop pool had great views but unfortunately we didn't have an opportunity to use it as the weather was rather cool. The breakfast carers mainly for Asian tastes and while we like to sample new foods, noodles and rice isn't our thing at breakfast. However there is toast, freshly fried eggs, croissants and cooked meats for a more European breakfast. The staff our very friendly and helpful.

Lamps could be a bit stronger.
Good value. Very large room for the price. Close to the beach. Breakfast is ok for the price. Really nice reception. Bellboys helped with the backpack. Spacious bathroom with good water temperature and pressure. That's not obvious in Vietnam.

The staff's help was exceptional! The pool was just waiting to be tested, but the weather wasn't with me. It was nice to have a room with a view of the sea.

A welcoming hotel with an exceptional service . Great location near to eateries and mini markets . Beautiful to see the sea and the Lady Buddha from my room. Lovely and clean room with a good deep bath . Reception helped me with a parcel delivery and a couple of money exchanges which was very helpful .

The only thing that I didn’t like was the fact that our room had no external window and I was told this On Checking in but what I didn’t realise was that the so-called window faced the inside of a dark shed.
Value for money and location was excellent. Staff were very kind and helpful.

Top service from the staff, who responded very promptly to some minor maintenance issues with the room. Great location with lots of food choices in the immediate area.

Isolation to the floor is not the best but it was no problem
Clean rooms, good location and everything was as i expected it. One of the best hotels i stayed in in Vietnam.

the breakfast was layed out for mostly asian tourists with dishes like pho and some fried stuff. as a european i would have wished for more diversity in bread, jam, cheese, etc. breakfast also ends at 9:30am wich is a bit early in my opinion.
I had a great stay at Ruby Star Danang! It was clean, comfortable and the room was very modern and for the price luxurious. It was the best hotel i stayed in in vietnam. the staff also was very friendly, helpful and always had a smile on their face. ruby star has a lot of stores, good restaurants, bars and the beach close to it.

Although our bathroom mirror fell off the wall, we called staff to fix it and they were quick and diligent in doing so.

Welcoming friendly, helpful staff. Clean room, strong air conditioning, fantastic location, close to many restaurants, convenience store next door, beach is few minutes walk. Breakfast buffet very good.

The breakfast option should increase vegetarian options atleast 1 or 2 more . For non vegetarian their are plenty of options but for pure vegetarian hardly any option

Booking.com advertise a “family suite” with a “separate living area” this isn’t the case, the room is two queen beds and a small table and chair with a shower room
