Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaThe balcony’s door is broken but it’s not a big deal since the room is on the 4th floor and is safe. Thao sorted the issue promptly. I would still recommend it to anyone looking for a budget yet charming boutique hotel in Sapa.
The location is perfect. Only a 15 minutes walk to the town centre. It is centrally located. The property is 1 minute walk to Moana which looks so amazing specially at night time. There are lots of cafes, restaurants and massage parlours around the area. Couldn’t ask for more 🤩. Thao and her sister is amazing, lovely, helpful and friendly. Oh and there was an adorable dog too named Lucky.

Philippines- Our room was on the 7th floor but the elevator is only until the 5th floor so we had to carry our luggages 2 floors up and down. - While wifi was available, the connectivity was weak or we would get disconnected from time to time so we had to use our limited data plan (coverage was good and internet was much better than the property's wifi). - Visible molds on other areas of the room esp. on window blinds
- Aisha and her staffs were very accommodating. We communicate via WhatsApp and they were very prompt in responding to my queries/requests. - From the moment I booked this room for our stay, they had immediately contacted me and promptly answered my queries. Aisha, who has been in constant contact with me, helped me arranged a cabin bus to pick us up from the Noi Bai International Airport and back to Hanoi Old Quarter, which I found to be very convenient as everything was taken care of. - The weather in Sapa was cool and it gets really cold especially at night so we didn’t really need to turn the AC on. - The view from our room was nice, you could see Moana Sapa (5min walk from hotel) and the surrounding mountains and rice terraces. - The location of the hotel was a bit far from the town center if you would opt to walk, but Aisha helped us book a tuktuk everytime we would go out to the town centre. - Aisha also speaks English well so it wasn’t hard to communicate with her. - Breakfast was included which was a plus so we didn’t have to worry about going out early to look for breakfast.

IndonesiaIt's just located a bit down the road but it was okay and quiet.
They arranged bus transfer from Hanoi to Sapa even for last minute! And since we arrived early morning, they offered early check in and we were so thankful for taking the offer! There was no receptionist when we arrived but she left a very detailed note on what to do. The bed and pillows were very nice and warm. Breakfast was okay.

CanadaOnly 1 staff member could speak English. But Google translate filled the gap.
The staff! Such helpful, caring folks! I took an overnight bus leaving from Sapa. A lady staffer came out and waited with me until I was picked up 40 minutes after the scheduled pickup time. I was expecting the bus. But the shuttle was an electric cart. If I was by myself, I would not have known. A hardy breakfast was served every morning. The location offered a very good view of the mountains.

BelgiumFriendly staff. Breakfast was good (just a few optional, but that’s all we needed). In walking distance of many restaurants, shops… had to walk a bit further to explore the whole city (also no problem for us). Laundry service was very good.

The room was huge with two small balconies which we really appreciate. It's clean and complete with the basic toiletries. We just didn't know how to turn on the heater for the shower but the lovely lady there helped us. Some couldn't speak English but it's not a problem as they are very, very helpful. They will really make a way to help you. It's like a 15-minute walk from the center but really it's not that far and you will see some cafes, restaurants, convenience stores and massage places along the way so it's a nice walk. Overall, we loved our stay here. :)

PhilippinesEverything was as I had hoped for. My room had a nice balcony because I requested this beforehand.
I booked this hotel mainly because of the positive reviews about how helpful the staff were. And I must say that AISHA, the main staff, exceeded all my expectations. She was always responsive and went out of her way to assist us even before we arrived. She helped us book the sleeper buses from Hanoi airport all the way to Sapa. The next day, my husband had to go back to Hanoi while I stayed in Sapa for another day. Aisha helped me book all my tickets going to Fansipan peak. Sadly, I was pickpocketed in Sapa city center that afternoon. When Aisha heard about this, she brought me to the police station herself and acted as translator so we could file a report about the stolen wallet. She even volunteered her own contact details to the police. The next day, while I was on the bus glong back to Hanoi, Aisha called me up to tell me that the police found my wallet! All the cash was gone but my IDs and cards (already blocked) were there. SHE retrieved the wallet from the police station and had it delivered to me in Hanoi. I have never experienced this kind of help before. Again, can’t thank you enough, Aisha.
