Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

IndiaOur stay at the hotel was excellent and very comfortable. The breakfast buffet was lavish and contained both local and international options. The staff was helpful and very responsive to allergies and food preferences (vegetarian food was customisable). The location of the hotel was perfect and right in the heart of District 1. Most historical sights were walking distance or a short taxi ride away.

United KingdomNothing we really enjoyed our stay.
After 13 days travelling from north to south Vietnam we wanted a hotel that we knew would be comfortable with a bit of luxury for the last four nights of the holiday. Therefore we compromised on a historic building type of hotel and opted for modern comforts. We booked a corner room which was very light and airy and had a view over the swimming pool. The staff were fabulous, always attentive and knowledgeable. Breakfast was amazing with the biggest selection of food we came across in all the different places we stayed in. We used the pool each afternoon after the 34 degree heat of HCMC to cool down a little - pool is a great size. We ate out apart from breakfast at great vegetarian/vegan restaurants nearby - one to definitely recommend is La Moi about 5 minutes walk away. In addition to a lounge/bar the ground floor of the hotel has a small convenience store, Vietnamese fast food outlets and an Italian restaurant which you can charge to the room - we had a great pizza from here. I'd definitely recommend this hotel.

United KingdomWe were happy with our stay. It is a well-located hotel with good facilities. We benefited by paying extra for the Exec floor, but the rest of the hotel seemed fine. It is difficult to complain when you have had a more than pleasant stay.
We had access to the Executive floor for breakfast. It was very good. Food fresh and well-cycled, drinks choices were varied and interesting. No issues.

ItalyThe location of the hotel is excellent, making it very convenient for exploring the city. The breakfast is both delicious and beautifully presented, offering a great start to the day. The pool area is lovely, providing a relaxing spot to unwind. The staff were exceptionally kind and helpful, going above and beyond to assist us with an issue we had with a taxi from an external company. Their professionalism and dedication were much appreciated. The room was comfortable and well-appointed, though it would have been more convenient to have a power outlet near the bedside table. Overall, a great stay with just a minor suggestion for improvement. Highly recommended!

United StatesWe loved everything about the property.
We loved our stay at the JW Marriott Residences!! We had a beautifully updated and well laid out king one bedroom apartment with a balcony. Immaculate, spacious and well furnished with utensils, fridge, washer dryer. Bottled water was left by housekeeping every day. We did not have a chance to use the gym or the pool but they both looked very nice. The staff at both the Residences and the Hotel are so helpful and friendly. Buffet breakfast at the Hotel was delicious - with many western and Asian options. High quality food including an amazing coffee bar. Also available was an a la carte breakfast at the restaurant in the Residences building. The two buildings are connected by retail space which included a convenience store, several casual restaurants and a bank. We loved the location. Just a few blocks away from the very busy main streets. It was a relaxing and peaceful place to return to. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend!!

SingaporeThe bathtub water tap is far from the tub itself. We couldn't fill it with water if not from the showerhead.
We arrived at the hotel at 9.50am and they got a room ready for us already! Sang, the staff who checked us in was very friendly, polite and helpful. In fact, all the staff throughout our stay were very efficient, accommodative and helpful. Well done, Marriott Saigon! We got the room overlooking the city. Unobstructed view and the night view is fantastic. The Notre Dame Cathedral in front of us is lighted beautifully till late. Everything is within our reach: Mall, cafes, places to chillax...we love the hotel's vicinity. Very convenient.

SwitzerlandShampoo & shower gel were fixed to the wall, but not anywhere near the bathtub, which then requires some ingenuity by the guest. Incidentally some bath salts and perhaps also a few general bathroom condiments could be a nice low-cost addition to make a stay absolutely perfect.
"Intercontinental" hotels usually exhibit some "old school" standard when it comes to room size and furnishings; here it was no different: a spacious room, with "cathedral view" [under renovation at the moment], a generous desk, a nice bathroom, as well as a comfortable king-size bed, ... just great. Breakfast started early and was outstanding. Staff was friendly in a natural way without being overbearing (perhaps with the exception of bellboys who really want to get their hands on your suitcases). A big surprise was a fantastic birthday cake, somehow connected to my check-in data, no doubt :) ... Overall this was a very enjoyable stay in a convenient location to explore the city in all directions.

AustraliaStaff were lovely on arrival at check in. The corner room had a lovely view, although I was hoping for a higher floor. Organised club access in advance for our last evening and staff were absolutely fabulous and food was delicious, only comment would be that it wasn’t as a relaxed an atmosphere as I am used to with club rooms, I was expecting more lounge/ casual seating areas , but then again this hotel is geared to business people. Also organised a late check out as our flight was at 9.30 pm , which was greatly appreciated on such a warm day being able to relax in our room as opposed to in the foyer or by the pool. Breakfast had an amazing selection , for both my omnivore husband and myself as a vegetarian, the friendly staff helped me find all the available green options. Also had a transfer to the airport and our driver, and I apologise for not getting his name, was AMAZING, got us there safely in Saigon’s crazy Friday night traffic in a timely manner. Location is in the heart of district 1 attractions, literally across the road from book street that I recommend a stroll down. As a lap swimmer the length, and cleanliness of the pool was appreciated. Would recommend this hotel and would return . Thank you to all staff for a Lovely stay.
