I didn’t have breakfast or any meals at the hotel so I cannot comment about the food.

The hotel has a very unique design across the board and bedrooms in particular have been thoughtfully designed with a keen eye for detail and a careful use of space and interesting furniture. There is a jacuzzi in the balcony as well and a mini bar included in the price. The bed is extremely comfortable and huge. The rooms are kept very clean!!! I loved that they provide filtered water in glass bottles and you can get as many as you need. They do seem to be making an effort towards the environment. The location worked very well for me- convenient to walk to all the main sites in HCM city, and also be picked up for a tour. Many great places to eat just a few mins walk away. I managed to secure what was apparently a discounted price on booking.com and even then going by the general prices I was paying for accommodation in other parts of Vietnam was significantly cheaper. However, I don’t think it’s possible to compare as what this hotel offers is very different. The roof top bar is worth a visit too- cocktails are made without skimping on the alcohol. The staff are welcoming and helpful.

I must emphasise that I have no criticisms of The Myst Dong Khoi; it truly offers an exceptional experience. However, it's worth noting that its location in a very modern and westernised area of Ho Chi Minh may not be the most budget-friendly choice for travellers.

Our stay at The Myst Dong Khoi was an absolute delight. We were captivated by the stunning interior design and meticulous attention to detail throughout the property, making every corner a visual treat. The staff's service was truly exceptional, ensuring that every interaction was pleasant and accommodating. The unexpected joy of an included afternoon tea added a charming touch to our experience, and the outdoor hot tub proved to be a fantastic way to unwind after a long day of exploration. Additionally, the offer of a free late checkout until 2pm was a generous bonus that allowed us to make the most of our stay.

Everything was superb.

We were so glad that we stayed at this outstanding place. It is bit more expensive than others but worth every cent. Designed by a local and very talented architect and interior designer, the place is absolutely unique and very tasteful. The design links traditional Vietnamese elements with contemporary topics to a very comfortable and high quality accommodation. Food and Rooftop bar are fantastic, the location is absolutely fantastic. From the regular staff up to the hotel manager, everyone is overly friendly, sympathetic and helpful. Thank you for the amazing stay.

Bed room was great but unfortunately didn't have any window/view which makes it a bit claustrophobic. Service very good but a bit too pretentious compared to everywhere else in Vietnam. Running a 5 stars hotel doesn't not have to mean a snob attitude. Relax guys, Vietnam travelers certainly appreciate a more informal treatment 😉

We booked a room with jacuzzi on balcony, but water never got hot enough for a 'proper' jacuzzi feel - more like a tepid bath, so we didn't use it in the end. was the only let down, otherwise loved everything else.

Huge comfortable beds and liked the design and style of the hotel. Breakfast was amazing, so much choice! The staff were all super friendly and helpful. Great area, lots of things in walking distance.

The design of the hotel and especially the design of the room and all the wood work is beautiful. It is one of the coolest/stylish hotels I have ever stayed in and such a gem to find it in Vietnam. I tried the spa with the property and it was excellent.

The bathtub in balcony looks old, though its clean. Minor thing for us, since the shower room is separated and inside the room, very clean. Another thing, seems like there was renovation around the pool and gym on the top floor, so we could not try on that part.

Nice location, center of HCMC, there is 24hr convenience store as well next the hotel. Walkable distance to go around district 1 to sightseeing the city. Daytour accepted to pick us from this hotel. Spacious room, unique interior, nice Myst relaxing smell in the hotel. Most important thing, my child can enjoy the breakfast and the room.

The whole pool area was booked out for one afternoon for a private function. When we complained about it the staff did their best to try and make up for it, but it was very disappointing that the hotel would even think about locking their paying guests out of the pool for a private function. The staff handled things rather well under the circumstances and did their best to help…but what was surprising was that they didn’t seem to realise there was a private function until we told them. I felt that this was not good enough, especially for the price.
