Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustriaNormally we wouldve paid 200 dollars for 2 nights but i got a huge discount because of my membership with booking but this was really the worst stay ever. Everything was stinky people smoked everywhere and after the 'breakfast' what was disgusting and not hygenic we stunk like french fries. Our first room was also very dirty and stinky so we could change it but it also wasnt a lot better. Staff also not that friendly and the spa is very pushy for good review and for tip. Normally we are not the people writing bad reviews but we want to make people coming to this hotel aware what to expect as all the pictures are just photoshop. What to expect: More 'modern' Hostel compareable to a hotel of the 90s. No charm.
Actually nothing. The pictures are all photoshopped and the reviews are fake.

RomaniaWalls very thin. At night you will be woken up by guests coming to and from their rooms if they are loud. And in the morning you will be woken up by the housekeeping staff even if they won’t come into your room. Not very relaxing. They do not have “Do not Disturb” signs. Wi-fi signal not great.
Clean, everything new and modern. Comfortable beds. Decent location.

AustriaWe had 2 rooms, one was fine but the other one had a broken AC, a smelly bathroom and loud noise coming from somewhere. We could change the room after the first night but the AC in the other room also didn't work that well. Generally this hotel is a bit noisy with thin walls and louder tourists.
Friendly staff, breakfast is ok.

NorwayThe hotel's location is good and the rooms were as expected based on the pictures. We (2 adults and 2 children) stayed here for 4 days and the experience was very varied. Much rather towards the negative, unfortunately. We landed at Da Nang airport at 6pm and took a taxi directly to the hotel. At check-in, we were told that there was something wrong with the family room we booked and had to switch to 2x double rooms the first night. They had sent me the notice by email while we were on the plane. They wondered why we hadn't read the message. We were asked to switch to a worse hotel if we did not accept the offer. We chose to stay. No socket for TV in the room. What's the point of having a TV then? Breakfast: The stay was booked with breakfast. (At 06:30-09:30). The first day we went and ate at 08:15. The food was picked out and what was left looked very indelicate and inedible. Ham, cheese, salad, juice etc. had been outside in the heat/sun (no AC). Empty for bread/baguettes and coffee was cold. This applied almost every day. Should it be like this that if you arrive 1.5 hours before it's over, most of it is empty and inedible? The message from the unfriendly staff there was that there were many guests who had eaten earlier and that it was therefore empty. We therefore had breakfast elsewhere on the other three days. The employees sat and watched, listened to loud YouTube music on their mobile phones. Do they work or are they guests at the hotel? We were refunded 300K Dong at checkout. Training facilities: Very poor selection. Trapped air. No manuals or enough weights. AC was available but they refused to turn it on as they thought it was normal to exercise in 40+ degrees and that it is normal to sweat when you exercise. Trapped air and 40+ degrees... then you get sweaty even without and need to exercise after 10 minutes. Pool: Small and works just fine to cool down. Approx. 1.3 m at its deepest point and are not suitable for swimming.

United KingdomThe breakfast buffet selection could have been better, such as offering a more diverse range of foods and complimentary water. The pool and gym facilities were not very well kept.
The ViAn Hotel is in a good location, it took us about 10-15 minutes on bikes to reach the main beaches and restaurants. We arranged for our laundry to be done through the hotel and it was done promptly and cheaply.

SpainThe pool broken dirty water, the room smells like cigarettes, they do not speak English, the walls are full of stains and bedsheets, they do not have one bed just put two together very old mattresses sunken from use. Super uncomfortable. Nothing was ok also the pics as usual in Vietnam are too good to be true. I am not sure if they pay for the review. Also there is no isolation in the room you could hear the people talking or even breathing. Was insane. Everything was wrong I do not understand the reviews.
The breakfast was good, the rest was a disaster, horrible.

AustraliaBreakfast buffet was appalling. None of the food in the Bain Marie dishes was hot. Heater flames beneath them were not lit. Quality of food was a one star standard. Chopped up shriveled bits of Vienna sausage, cold pieces of sweet potato and corn, dry looking noodles etc. Boiled eggs were clearly very old with a greenish tinge round the yolks. The pho station was at least hot and you could get freshly cooked eggs. Breads and pastries were cheap and nasty. Tubs of margarine and poor quality jam to accompany them. Reception staff were unwelcoming and pretty unfriendly. Not what we were expecting at all as we'd only had very friendly, efficient service from hotels up to this point. We were initially given a room that reeked of old cigarette smoke. Asked to be moved to another one and reception man said he'd send housekeeping up. Lady arrived with a room spray! We eventually got moved to another room. This was around midnight too. Mini bar has only 2 bottles of water in it. No indication that it is not complimentary. So it was very frustrating to be told at checkout we owed for 2 bottles. Taxi was waiting and we had to then dig around to find cash to sort that out.
Location was good - about a km walk to the beach. Room itself was okay. Plenty of mini marts and restaurants around the area luckily.

United KingdomThe pool was full of insects and I mean full. I asked the front desk to have the pool cleaned but I checked later that day and the next and it wasn’t cleaned in that time. The breakfast was pretty bad. I love my breakfast and it was really poor. All of the food was cold at 9am, all of the tables were dirty and not prepared for the next person, people had to ask for more food to be put out - coffee too, myself and other were having to shout past the desk into the kitchen to have staff come to cook more eggs and clear the tables. The place just wasn’t really that clean - smudges all over the glass doors, dirt and dead bugs on the floor, etc. I’m a young guy and used to staying in cheap hostels so this stuff doesn’t bother me much but I was quite disappointed when in my head I was spending a bit extra to “treat myself”. Not what you’d expect from a 4 star hotel. I’d look elsewhere.
The room was nice and was inexpensive. Good budget option.

United Kingdom-The room smelt damp for the time we were there. - The breakfast was poor - food on floor, no clean tables or cutlery, the coffee was cold, the food wasn’t warm, no cups for water. Very very poor. - The gym was basic and the machine was broken and it was very humid in there. The staff were nice but could only say sorry and didn’t compensate for our frustration.

Germany1. Bad interior design, for example: power sockets are located in strange places where no single power socket in left side of the bed. Also left side of the bed light has NO switch, both sides are controlled from the right side. Water boiler has NO power socket connection, you have to put it somewhere on the floor near the available power. 2. Room door has about 2cm gab to the floor, you feel like you are in the hallway when someone talking outside 3. Very terrible Internet connection as it comes and go, I stayed connected to my previous hotel in order to browse the Internet. Worse when I complained they told me its fine because their proof that the WiFi signal is strong in the room. Well I’m an IT person, when I tried to explain that this has nothing to do with that, they just said nothing else can be done. No worries, as long as the other hotels keep their WiFi access open (no password required) then you will be OK 😂😂 4. Only one type of pillow in the whole hotel, I know that 4 stars should have more than one type. 5. Shower cabinet are not sealed well, after shower there will be lake near it. This is at least in my room (Executive Suite) 6. You cannot request anything from the staff due to language barrier. I understand it is not their problem that hotel lack management but they are the only one I can request from. 7. Too plain, all walls painted plain white with not a single painting on the walls (at least in the rooms and hallways). You feel like you are in a motel not a hotel. 8. SPA is just letters in the name!
1. New and almost all furniture are still in good shape. 2. Affordable price 3. Advertised as Four Stars but honestly incurrent shape it’s less than 3. 4. TV has active Entertainment like Netflix but depends on Internet stability. 5. New Gym equipment. 6. You can vpn out when you lucky and Internet is connected well. 7. Good food selection for breakfast, just missing labels for what they actually are 🤔

ItalyThe females (3) ladies at the reception were not friendly and completely rude. Unacceptable for a 4-star Hotel. Some examples: - Refused to help us find a transfer service to Hue. The answer was “I do not know check a local agency” - Refused to help us with the broken air con at the gym. We went downstairs to ask and she said “Sure someone will come to fix it in 5 min.” Nobody ever came so we gave up on training There are many more examples. I wished the personnel was more attentive especially as this is a 4-star Hotel
Very clean hotel and spacious rooms. The male personnel at the reception and breakfast is super kind and accommodating.
