Our stay at Sheraton Aggie Grey was disappointing. Both the 2-bedroom bungalow and Queen room were far from the main amenities, and the lack of security was concerning—hooligans attempted a break-in at the bungalow, where my elderly father was staying, stealing items left outside. Reception’s response blamed staff shortages, which was unacceptable given the price paid. Housekeeping was non-existent, with basic items like toiletries and towels not replenished. The pool appeared unclean, and the surrounding area was dangerously slippery. Overall, the experience fell far below the expected Sheraton standard.

    • Stayed 5 nights

Facilities: The room was far from reception and disconnected from the main amenities. Food: Poor quality and disappointing. Housekeeping: Extremely poor—no service provided during the stay. Basic items like toilet paper took an unreasonably long time to arrive, and toiletries (body wash and shampoo) were empty upon arrival and never refilled. Towels were also not replaced. The property appeared short-staffed, but we paid for a Sheraton Aggie Grey experience and did not receive the expected standard.

Did not like anything about my stay

Buffet service. Parking facilities. Parking/security staff very pleasant and helpful despite limited parking.

Breakfast buffet included. Staff service very poor. Food availability poor. Had to ask to have food topped up as most had run out. Staff mostly standing around despite requirement for assistance. When we che ked in, she was pleasant, however wrote the incorrect room, resulting in us lugging our baggage from room to room, that were upstairs. No porter service offered. Parking options very poor.

    Nothing everything was great!

We loved everything! Our rooms, the views, the bathroom. The breakfast was delicious. The staff were very professional and always helped out with anything we had concerns about. Always welcomed us with a smile even treated our visiting families and friends with care. Lending a helping hand before we even ask.

I didn't like that I couldn't enjoy a meal without having someone coming up to us every 5 minutes and asking if there was anything else we would like. I think the servers at the restraunt need to let people enjoy their meals and quality time with their loved ones until food is then we ask for the bill. It felt like I had to rush eating my food every time they did that.

I loved every bit of it, even the staff when entering.

Stayed for two nights and didn’t get room service, went to go find own fresh towels, on our second morning 9:15am most of the breakfast options were all empty

I didn’t like how I kept ordering room/food service and this one particular person keeps taking my money and never brings back my change and everytime I see him at the buffet breakfast he has this smirk on his face and laughing with his work colleagues talking about me. The house keeping was really bad I stayed here for 10 nights room was never serviced and clean. Bed sheets never changed and or clean never given clean towels, bath mats everyday never sweeped floor never given toilet paper, I had to keep asking for things even though house keeping is always asking if I need service but never do their job then why work there. Just poor service very poor service. Never coming back there again. Also the elevators weren’t working so me and my poor mother who I had to take care of had to walk up and down the stairs the whole 10days we were there. Sooo tiring especially in the heat.

I only liked the reception staff who greets us everyday and 3 staff members working at the buffet breakfast

I didn't like the fact that the customer service was inconsistent some staff were lovely and would say talofa others just stated at you and were not inviting My first time at Sheraton was when the hotel was owned by the greys. Back then the hotel had heart was lively and was always a warm welcoming feeling because of the people and the grey's family. It was disappointing some staff at the restaurant and at reception have inconsistency on how they serve guests because I was dismissed at reception by what looked like a supervisor for her to ignore me and serve my white husband. Now I'm samoan and I don't give a wrap about addressing the head of the family you address anyone that stands before you. I was not impressed anyways I would think twice about booking with Sheraton again as I have a few more incidents that involve the restaurant staff that I don't have time to write about

I like our 2nd room that we got near the pool. Our first room we stayed in the main building where it smelled damp and musty. I have allergies and asthma and this did not help but was glad when we moved to 2nd room

AVOID this property at all costs. The hotel has been flooded four times over the past few years and has a recurring mold infestation that reeks on the lower floor rooms with an unbearable smell that makes them unsafe to stay in. The ownership switched from local Samoan over to a Chinese group and the property has not been adequately maintained to its former historical splendor under the new Sheraton name. They charged me bungalow price even though we couldn’t stay in the room because of mold. Stay at Taumeasina island instead, much higher quality, location and service

The location is okay, but no beach

Sadly it is not the Aggie Grey’s that it used to be! It it very sterile and doesn’t have enough Samoan decor/ flavour etc. in addition the layout doesn’t work well in the rooms above reception. The lift was a long way from the reception area and our elderly mother was at the other end of the floor from the rest of us. My brother couldn’t check into his room until 4pm and when they did the room had dirty sheets on the bed. There was also a very loud event in the function room on the ground floor that vibrated up through the floors above.

The staff are amazing, very welcoming and accommodating and hard working and they put up with a lot from a particularly rude guest. I did wonder too how well supported the staff are by the hotel management as that seemed to be absent.

Where do we start: it was old, the room was dirty. We asked for non smoking and they moved us when our first room smelled of cigarettes. The second room smelled of paint. The carpet in the foyer smelled of cats wee and poo. Cat poo was on the floor. We told staff of this, 3 days later it was still there. For the Sheraton name and hefty Sheraton price tag, this place is terrible and falls well below an acceptable standard.

    The pool was nice.

    Leaving :(

Sheraton Samoa Aggie Grey's is Grand! Standing immaculately in it's prime location, you walk into the most beautiful space. Staff are incredible. From online reservations, the front desk, the restaurant (exceptional service!!!) and everyone in between, you feel so welcome and loved. Food was delicious. Who doesn't love a buffet?! Pina Coladas were the best on the island! Beds were incredible comfortable, rooms were super large and the bathrooms well equipped. Make sure you head to the spa! Best massages of my life.
