Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaThe staff were extremely helpful and attentive, with Tufi consistently displaying a warm smile. Our room was remarkably spacious and clean, although the connecting door to the adjacent room seemed unusual, as I could hear the conversation of the occupants next door. Nevertheless, the breakfast was exquisite and the location was highly convenient.

AustraliaIts more of what can be fixed or updated with respect from our 2nights. Beach fornt fales the fala thatches needed to be securely tighten especially on windy rainy days/night. Beach fale no.5(son was in) at the end had no thatches in the fornt,it was all open,so the rain came inside as far as the bed, half of the bed got wet & couple of the thatches weren't tied bc the tie was broken. BF no.3 The bathroom door key lock actually didnt work bc we could still open the door from the outside. No grip mats or runners along the entry of the hotel and along the walk area near the beach fales especially when it's raining as it gets slippery & unsafe. Stevenson definitely has a beautiful view, good set up and staff were so lovely.
Location was good as we needed to be close by to Safotu, breakfast was good, receptionist and staff were lovely, beach fornt fale is nice if the sun was out, unfortunately our whole stay in Samoa was raining but definitely the beach fornt fales would be lovely on a beautiful sunny day's.

New ZealandIt rained heavily the whole duration of our stay and highlighted there isn’t much to do at the resort (which may be a good thing as you can rest or swim in the ocean in the rain). Tiles in the shower / kitchen area, plus the walkway between pool and dining area is very slippery.
Location is nice, very close to beach and central to East / West Savaii. It has potential to be a really great resort - general upkeep, maintenance and care and thorough cleaning is all it requires.

AustraliaOur room was okay. One sink was blocked and the aircon was spraying us as we walked around the front of our villa to go to the beach. Workers did not wanna be there or want to acknowledge that there were guests 😴 went for breakfast and a group of workers were sitting and eating while we stood there waiting to be served. Literally walked into kitchen to get someone as we could hear them having a good old chat and laugh in the kitchen. Place has a lot of potential. Just need some work on afew things and maybe need workers that actually know customer service.
The beachfront view and access to the beach was awesome.

AustraliaDinner options were very limited. Breakfast was okay; some days better than others, some days were just pre cooked toast, cereal etc. I was charged more than what booking.com reflected, so around $300AUD per night which is way more than this place is worth. I asked for a taxi airport transfer for the last day but despite numerous attempts, they didn't get one for me. On another night I had asked for a taxi to the resort a few kms away, on the day, no taxi. So best to organise your own transfers and taxis. On the day I left, I resorted to flagging someone down on the street for a ride to the ferry terminal.
It was very quiet and for most of the time I had the beach to myself. When I found the air conditioner to be leaking and reported it, the staff fixed it immediately which was great. Bed was comfortable, air conditioner worked well. Large shower. Interesting location near churches and locals. I didn't have a hire car but I'd recommend that to visitors to the island.

New ZealandWorst shower ever, is like a garden hose - urgent installation of shower heads needed (& cold water too) Vanities are old. No food at the resort, hardly. We had to buy eggs and get the chefs to cook them (as they ran out of eggs). Unbelievable they ran out of coconuts, bananas & pawpaw - get more organised, or some pet chickens. Tons of fruit being grown on the island. No pool lights at night & pool had green slime in it. We paid $450 a night which seemed insanely over priced. This place could be so awesome if they got better showers, cleaned the pool & had more food
Nice views & liked the cats, nice staff - large room with a couch & sea views.
