Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

New ZealandNot an easy access to the sea.
The pool was open 24/7 and it was right next to the bar and restaurant that closes at 8.30pm. The fales were a good size and the bed was comfortable

New ZealandProbably would’ve liked more comfortable beds and layout of villas. Kitchen, toilet, bathroom all in one.
Staff was good, bar had good music & the food for lunch/dinner was yum!

AustraliaThe rest of the food wasn’t great, the shower wasn’t hot on first couple days, the room was overpriced and I was charged more than what I was advised by booking.com
The people and the view, breakfast was good. Island tour guides Sam and John were very good

New ZealandThe receptionist had little customer service. Fridge in bathroom, with cups, teaspoon, and sauces on the sink, one flush of the toilet, you could imagine all the airborne contamination happening. Toilet was leaking really bad that it flooded, we went front desk, receptionist said someone would come, waited entire day, nobody came, so my husband had to do some fixing. Lucky ground ws concrete. The red sheet on the bed has to go. They should really stick with white only.
Location of Fales. The shower made it look tropical. Bar and restaurant. People behind were really good, i think her name was Temukisa and the other male server. The pool area was being cleaned daily. The mosquito net helped a lot. Good experience in the Fale, but definitely not for me.

New ZealandQuite tired and requires lots of maintenance. Euro Fallie on lean. Volcanic Rock in shower so a bit tuff on the feet. Great pool. Lots of the coral in front of the resort is broken. Expensive for what you get.

New ZealandOur 3rd stay. A shame that the natural white sand beaches have had to give way to rock walls to protect the resort from the effects of climate change. Unfortunately remediation work was still in progress when we stayed this time. The resort should have indicated this and provided a greater discount for the period of the work. We look forward to the work being completed and the resort returning to the great place it can be.
Great staff, great location.

New ZealandThis is was the most expensive accommodation for us but our least favourite. There was no clean-up done around the trees and entrances which meant flies were everywhere, leaking pipes, blocked drains, uncomfy beds, unclean sheets (pillow cases smelled like old, damp sweat), breakfast could have had more options (again, you don't get what you're paying for). Apart from that, the views are beautiful, staff were great and the water right at your doorstep.

New ZealandThis place has so much potential to be a 5 star resort. There is a lot of maintenance that needs to be done. It was almost like the owners had given up on the place, unsure if this was covid related. I was concerned about the water coming out brown. I did not trust the tap water at all. Our phone in our room wasn't working. I do hope this place comes back to its full potential because it really is a beautiful location.
Loved the location! the highlight of my trip in Samoa was waking up right next to the beach. beautiful sunrises & sunsets.

New ZealandUnfortunately we were extremely hungry so it did not help that the food was uncooked or over cooked missing lots of flavors and didn't finish any of our meals
Our family absolutely loved the villas, beautiful views and away from the bar and dunning area. The outside shower was a treat after swimming in the sea.

New ZealandWe felt the resort was a little tired overall. The pool and deck area need some work with decking boards moving as you walked on it. We would have like a few traditional Samoan additions to our meals ie Breadfruit or Taro leaves in Coconut Milk
Beach and swimming were fantastic, we enjoyed the snorkeling everyday in front of our Fale and the bonus of seeing Turtles most days. The staff were really friendly and helpful and Fale was clean with a great view
