Location and excellent facilities

Nothing serious, the hotel could use a soft refurbishment, replacing passage carpets, etc to keep it fresh and modern.

The room was comfortable for a short stay, we all loved the beds. A standard buffet breakfast with decent options is served at the restaurant which is great when travelling in a small group. The staff at the restaurant are warm and very friendly. Free parking these days is appreciated.

The shower not having a door, water would get into toilet and room on carpet resulting in a smelly, damp room.

Unfortunately, our neighbors were very noisy and we had to make 2 calls to reception. But the service we got from the staff who moved us to another room was exceptional.

Overall our stay was lovely. The room was very comfortable, bathroom facilities very clean and the kitchen was very nice. The staff was also very helpful and friendly.

I did book an executive room with the following point-scoring features: table view and sea view among others. I feel these features should not have been included because the surrounding buildings are very tall to obstruct your view of the mountain. Secondly, the see is like three or more kilometers away to have any meaningful view. In my opinion, these two selling features are misleading and may cause tension with the customers.

The hotel was warm and welcoming with friendly staff. The food was delicious and you could feel it was prepared with love. Please include more fillers in the omelets. Everything in the room was on point. Keep it up.

Only thing we missed was a hairdryer.

The Hotel was beautifully located (close to the Century City Mall) - walking along the canal. The view from our room was spectacular and the whole family had ample space. Wil definitely return to Colosseum hotel when we are in Cape Town again.

The first day the reception was not responsive to my query. However the manager on duty in the most made it up to me. She was very professional and attended my query to finality.

The TV channels didn't work without my personal login details. A basic DSTV package or similar could've been nice.

My stay was comfortable. I enjoyed my room, the views in the morning and the convenience of having the Woolworths, Vida and Clicks just downstairs.

Didn’t have its own gym and the gym they provide complimentary access to (Island club) is very basic with old equipment stocked in a swimming pool area. There is a virgin active across the road and a bodytec downstairs which I paid for walk in access to

Location in century city was great for proximity to the local mall, Cape Town and our family in Durbanville. Staff were very helpful and friendly and the room was very spacious with a separate living area.

I think the phone communication system needs to be checked. I called the receptionist to request an electric iron, but it was delivered to another room next to ours. Also, the following day, a bottle of water was delivered to my room when I had not requested it.

The staff were all amazing and helpful- they really went above and beyond from showing us how to get to the Mall and taking us, to finding my lost glasses.

Maintenance was lacking: Something was wrong with the bed base, everytime my husband turned the entire bed swung from side to side like we were on a boat so I did not sleep well. Towel holder in bathroom broken. The bathroom design is not great, 1 shelf set very high in the bathroom with very little space to put vanity and makeup bags. Lighting above mirror poor. and no other mirrors except inside cupboard door. Different colour light bulbs. Fridge didn't get cold at all. Light above microwave flickered. The bottom hanger rack in the cupboard fell off and I couldn't put it back as it looked like the wrong size. Just alot of little things that added up to make my stay not as good as it should have been considering all the plus points. Receptionist was very good to listening to my complaints and taking my list of issues to correct the problems.

Large suite with bath and shower. King size bed and large desk. Large comfy couch. Small kitchenette area. Fantastic sunset veiws from the balcony. Lovely staff and free secure underground parking. Short walk to the mall. Restaurant on site and Clicks and Woolies Food on bottom floor. Has a Spa on 4th floor that does massages.

As "Presidential Suites" go... this was not that! It's a bit of a misrepresentation in the term. The reception check-out staff seem disinterested. Other staff went out of their way to please and fulfil their duties.

We had the very spacious and well equipped 2 be apartment situated very close to the Canal Walk shopping centre. Very lovely view of Table Mountain. Large and comfy beds with supurb linens.
