Perhaps a choice of eating dinner indoors rather than the expectation that it would be served outside.

Breakfast was delicious with a choice of continental or a cooked option. Plenty of choice across the board. A lovely light lunch was also served every day. Dinner was delicious, but one night we felt rather cold eating outside. The lighting was limited with only lamps, but this did add to the atmosphere. The game drives were wonderful with Chris. He was a knowledgeable safari ranger who used his tracking skills to ensure we got the best out of every drive into the bush. Wonderful.

They didn’t include the conservation fee in their fees , so we were requested to pay separate fees upon leaving the reserve … it would be a lot better to have this included in the price and the camp pay for the conservation fees for the guests. It is inconvenient to have to be asked to pay twice for self drive fees when leaving the reserve when we stayed at a camp/lodge. No self drive happened.

Setting is beautiful. Sightings are great and food was exceptional.

Little Mongena is an amazing scenic get away. The staff are amazing and the food superb, I however did not see much management engagement to see if the guests are alright. For the morning game drives the kitchen staff are not available if urgent food is required because of health reasons. The game rangers are truly caring, knowledge sharing and absolutely helpful. A great place to visit.so much to see and experience.

Declan was the most amazing host. His knowledge was extensive and his enthusiasm was contagious, he was definitely the star of the show. The food was excellent and varied and it was so nice not to have to eat the usual game meat that is dished up at these places. Altogether a memorable weekend, Thankyou.

Actually nothing comes to mind.. we were very comfortable all through. The only thing is our shower in tent 6 was not draining well..the water was not a constant temperature but that expected from gas. My mom is 84 and it could be a bit tricky to navigate over the tent side at night for bathroom trips. Other that that, we did not have any negative feedback to share.

The gamedrives were on time and very well maintained with frequent stops with sharing information. The Bush drink experience was als wonderful..snacks and always variety offered before hand. At the camp the food was really the best.. menu was extensive..catering for all tastes and many options all equally tasty and delicious to choose from. They included my friends also in the dinner and checked if I was in agreement. Everyone and everything went smoothly and we were so happy with our stay and experience.

I was worried about staying at Little Mongena during winter. And I can confirm that you should not be concerned about visiting them during winter. Little Mongena goes out of their way to keep you warm, and we had blast meeting people from all over the world, the food and the game drives.

A little more choice at dinner would be nice as I had the same meal twice as didn’t like other options. Coffee breaks & sundowners were a tad too long. No hot water in the shower a few times. A small fridge in the room would be great to keep water cold. Wait at reception for transfer to lodge was a bit long.

What a beautiful camp this is, as soon as we arrived we loved it. No hippos in the lake when we were there which was a shame but saw a crocodile. Game drives were great, staff were very friendly and welcoming, food was excellent, pool was fantastic to relax by. Room was very comfortable, Would love to see more comfortable seating on the rooms verandahs to relax more.

The food choices are minimal with poor wine selection. The communal area needs attention ito maintenance. Instant coffee before early morning game drive was not appreciated.

The game drives and the rangers were exceptional!!The tents are beautifully equiped and have stunning views over the dam.

Staff was very organised, kind and helpful. Charlie our ranger was so knowledgeable, entertaining and accommodating. Food was exceptionally good. It was amazing to listen to all the animals at night and we had fun trying to identify the sounds. We will definitely return.

Pool was not ready for use (my wife even started cleaning it) Steak on one dinner was inedible Attention to some details lacking ( eg not enough coffee cups, toaster not on for breakfast, forgot coffees) Expected more experienced guide and more sightings for premium price
