Well equipped and spacious room with everything you need! The friendliest staff out there. We stayed in Room 1 which is outside the main house and is such a beautiful suite. Pics don’t do it justice.

No ash trays! Even a cigarette in a remote corner was prohibitive.

The breakfast was very poorly served. We arrived to find no fruit left, and we were told there is no more fruit. No bowls for yoghurt, no serviettes on the table, our breakfast arrived but the toast arrived halfway through the meal. We had to ask for milk for our coffee, other guests had to get up and go to the kitchen to ask for what they wanted. Three members of staff were laughing and talking loudly in the kitchen, and not looking after the guests. The breakfast was good, but not hot. Although we had a lovely room, it was close to the kitchen so we woke up early to a very strong smell of bacon frying. If you don't eat bacon, it is not pleasant at all. Disappointed in the way the staff handled the breakfast service.

It is a lovely guesthouse and conveniently located near town, it has lovely views of the mountain.

I had 5 rooms booked the night before my wedding with my bridal party. One of the 5 rooms the air conditioning was on but not cooling down the room. The room was so hot that the ladies had to stay in my room with me (on the sofa). I contacted the owner asking for a refund and nothing. Shame as the rest of the stay was nice.

- staff friendly and helpful - very nice breakfast selection (especially muffins & omelette & Joghurt) - location area felt safe and was close to town (10min walk)

it’s basically adjoining a building site so noisy at the pool and builders walking by and looking at you. no notice from property this was the case. room is dusty and needs a deep clean

They are building 5 additional rooms on the site. It looms over the property and the constant building noise (Monday-Friday until about 4pm) really spoilt my time there. I feel they should pre warn you about this. The load shedding can’t be helped but they could have a generator. They brochure says that wifi is available at all times, but it is not. It is an older building and does creak a lot. Housekeeping was somewhat odd: i left my towels on the shower floor as instructed as I wanted them replaced but the staff thought because they were folded that I was just happy with re using them. The location is a fair distance from the main area and in the dark is I feel too far to walk. Without a car, I would not stay here.

Female staff were all lovely, especially Elmarie (sp?).The Male Manager (Peter) seemed completely disinterested in the guests. He just seemed to bark orders at various people around the site. I understand he oversees several properties in the area. Room (suite 1) was large, clean and comfortable though quite dark. Breakfast is vast so don’t order too much. Pool area is very pleasant though spoilt by the building work noise. I did get a very reasonable price on booking.com so it sis offer value for money.

It didn't feel like it quite lived up to the price, I paid nearly 2000 for a room that didn't feel very private and for a door that didn't unlock, I had to phone the property manager and get him to come through while my fiance froze in the cold. A hotel room would go for less and be a bit more accessible.

The location was nice and central, the food was amazing and the staff were exceptionally sweet and accommodating.
