How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Insects!!🪳🪳very big our food got eaten by the cockroaches haibo the cleaning staff sometimes leaves with the mop n our bathroom is left untidy after we shower coz we couldn't mop
The securities were very welcoming and kind the room service was also nice though the stuff was quite rude

Our rooms were so dirty with bad smell we had to clean on our arrival because it was not smelling good also there too many crocoches all over

The property is not clean, we stayed for 3 days without pillow cases,we were 4 but they will only bring 2 small towels, zinc blocked .

There are lot of cockroaches
The rooms were okay, the kitchen was short of utensils but usable, the beds were okay you could tell that it is a student accommodation besides being a holiday apartment, their rooms are clean

We were not happy from arrival... Our room was 'checked,' and we were told it is up to standard. Only to find that the door frame was broken. There wasn't any cutlery and the TV wasn't connected. We were moved to another room because the door couldn't be fixed then. The new room had no hot water, TV wasn't working, bath tub was leaking. It was very frustrating to have to go to reception every time we went out because the door had locked itself and needed to be opened by the Tech guy. The hotel maintenance is very appalling and it this makes it difficult for your staff to actually do their job appropriately because they have to deal with complaints the whole day. I know my family and I aren't the only ones who didn't enjoy their stay at the hotel, because a number of us were hoping to be at the roof top by the pool, which to our disappointment was sucked out.
I am happy with the location of the hotel. It is close to restaurants, the beach and shops. Cleanliness is okay considering that the hotel was busy and fully occupied.

The shower I think it really need the improvement when u take a shower the bedroom get filed with water the kitchen also no please fix that the hole please get messed

The management overcharged us a R1000 after telling her that it is the hotel making a mistake. We were refunded and management did not apologise for the inconvenience caused to us during our stay. My family from other rooms were complaining about bedbugs. The housekeeping is poor. No Swimming pool 😞
The location is close to the beach and other services. Incredible view of the Sea and Durban.

The main entrance was dirty and looked dodgy. The apartment is outdated and old. The bedding was warn-out and it was not changed for the duration of my stay. The kitchen cupboards and the crockeries were very dirty, we had to buy disposable plates and glasses. The stove had piled up grease that was smelling and there were a lot of cockroaches. We had to buy Raid to kill these pests, but that did not help much and the pots were in a bad shape also. We could not use these items; it was very disgusting.
The Staff was just so friendly and helpful. Cleaning services came every day to clean. The location is good, not far from the beach.

U liked the sea view and some of the reception desk help was nice but few had bad attitude

The apartment is old and not well cared. Dirty, lot of cockroaches. Furniture is broken and smells awkward. Not cleaned in one of my visit...trash was full. Room 313 shower need servicing...the shower curtain old and dirty. Water splashed all aver bathroom and makes the whole house messy. Plates old fashioned and were short, towels not enough, pillowcases smelly. Plz improve
Staff was welcoming and cater for our needs ASAP. safe parking but was not mentioned during booking that there will be extra pay. Apartment is within the shops and near the beach.
