Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

BotswanaI forgot my sneakers at Room 202 if I am not mistaken about the room number, and it's a challenge for the hotel to send them to me via any form of courier. I am willing to collect at Mafikeng, I opted for Pep, Mafikeng, but it's a challenge, looks like the hotel can't spend less than R100 to send a pack of sneaker.... Horrible

Breathtaking first time arrival experience! Location, peace and ambience absolutely stunning! The size of the rooms....huge OMG....definitely a rare find! Perfect for couples and for quick weekend gateways. Breakfast was definitely amazing and filling! Many thanks for locating lost and found item!

IrelandSo we had to move from our initial room because the balcony door did not lock, there was no phone, kettle or hangers. Looked like the previous guests had just removed everything. New room was missing light bulbs and we had to request an iron. For a 4 star hotel it just felt like the attention to detail was lacking.
Staff were amazing, breakfast was good and the location was private and we felt very relaxed once we arrived.

CanadaNo elevator in the hotel. The carpet in our room needed a deep cleaning. The faucets in the bathroom sinks were so low you couldn’t get a glass underneath to fill it.
Breakfasts were delicious. The chef complied with our dietary requests for dinners. The staff were extremely helpful and kind in every part of the hotel. The beds were very comfortable. You could open the patio doors to the covered balcony.
