The shower area in our room was not draining water out. I think the builders did not create a good tilt so that water runs away as one takes a shower. Apart from that, everything else was very good: the room size was good, big enough, the tv was working well and the dining sitting area was good.

The breakfast was good. The location was very good as it was close to the city. The personnel were very friendly and sociable. The garden area was excellent.

The staff truly went above and beyond to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable experience. The highlight of my stay was undoubtedly the staff. They were incredibly helpful, always ready with a smile and eager to assist with any request. Whether it was providing local recommendations, arranging transportation, or simply offering a friendly chat, their dedication was truly appreciated. Nothing was too much trouble! The cleaning staff also deserve a special mention. My room was impeccably clean and well-maintained throughout my stay. They were efficient, thorough, and paid great attention to detail. It made coming back to my room each day a pleasure. I also felt incredibly safe and secure thanks to the polite and professional security team. Their presence was reassuring, and they were always friendly and approachable. Overall, my experience at Mongi Guest Lodge was nothing short of stellar. The combination of excellent staff, pristine cleanliness, and a secure environment makes it a top choice for anyone visiting the area. The room was not fully clean- the bathroom shower still had things left from the previous guest. The room also had many insects - one was still dead, but not cleaned at the foot of my bed.

I ordered lunch, some Ugali and chicken. The chicken was huge and didn’t have much flavour. It was those huge GMO chickens, would have preferred the broilers or free range organic chickens (village road runner chickens).

The room was very clean, very comfy bed and pillows. Very close to the airport, was ideal after I had a mix up with my flight Chef was very good and tried to do the best he can. Shakira was very welcoming and did her best to accommodate me.

Some areas are still under construction, being renovated and the noise level was high in the morning since l am a light sleeper but l enjoyed my stay and the staff were excellent. I would stay there again next time l am back in Harare. They let me check out an hour later as well which was a bonus because my flight was later in the afternoon which was handy.
