Location was decent (close enough to get to St Kilda and far enough away not to be disturbed by the patrons of St Kilda!!).
Room was pretty cool, close enough to how it appeared online. Bed was comfortable (I think, perhaps I was well enough liquored up to sleep anywhere!!).
You know, it was good enough - I booked it because it looked super cool and fancy and it didn't quite meet the expectations the pictures presented. That's not to say anything was wrong with it and perhaps I had too high a set of hopes - I like to be wowed when I walk in the door of a $ 300-a-night hotel.
The amenities were good - I used the fridge; it worked!!! I used the shower, I got wet for a while then got out.

Staff were very accommodating, reception went to the effort of leaving a few little sweet treats and a note to welcome in the room which I thought was especially thoughtful
Ideal for travelers who want their own space and don’t need frills. Condo hotels/serviced apartments have some hotel facilities like a reception desk but include kitchen facilities for a place to cook (e.g. a kitchenette). These suite-style accommodations usually have more than 10 units per property.
Modern apartment with plenty of space, comfortable seating and an excellent bed. A huge balcony, but as the view was directly into the apartments next door we didn't use it. The kitchen was well-equipped for self-catering, with very good appliances and access to the building and carpark was easy - being on Bay Rd, having traffic lights at the entrance was greatly appreciated, as was free allocated parking. Good value for money.
Our fifth time staying at Sandy Hills serviced apartments to visit family nearby. As always cooperative friendly efficient staff at Reception and a. spotlessly clean comfortable appartment. A real home away from home. Added bonus is secure undercover parking.
