Great stay – especially thanks to the amazing staff An Nguyen Lake Side Residence is a solid, well-kept hotel – clean, with tasteful decor and good standard amenities. Not all rooms have a lake view, and the entrance is quite narrow, so it’s easy to miss at first. The rooms are spacious, beds are comfortable, and the bathrooms are spotless. What truly made our stay exceptional, however, were the staff. Every interaction we had was positive – they were genuinely kind, attentive, and helpful without ever being intrusive. From the night porter who kindly took care of our scooter, to the receptionist who shared so many great tips about the city, to the barista who started our mornings with delicious coffee (complete with adorable doodles on the cup) – everyone went above and beyond. I had the best stay in this studio in Hanoi, and extended my stay at this property. It’s a new accommodation and everything was in excellent condition. Very clean, quiet, the shower was perfect and the bedding is great! The owners are flexible and you can pay by cash and card.

The apartment was spacious, very clean, and they allowed us to check in early which was very nice. We didn't have a washing machine inside the room but it was right out of our door and we could use it whenever we wanted. It's about 15 minutes walk from a bigger area but there are 2-3 cafes with food around. Very peaceful, and I highly recommend staying here. Great Wifi too!

Our room was clean and comfortable! Each unit has a washing machine on the balcony, which is wonderful! Enough basic dishes and cookware to make your own meals. We bought an inexpensive dish drainer, a few more cooking utensils, and a couple of extra dish towels as we stayed for 10 weeks. Close to Lotte Mall with a large supermarket in the basement. Also, a small WinnMart down the alley--a few steps out the door. Try Jewel Diner down the road. Several bus stops nearby. The city busses are an inexpensive way to get around. We found that Google Map was usually very accurate in routes and times, often better than the Hanoi Bus app. We are headed back to Hanoi for another month and will stay at Joy Apartment Tay Ho again!

Everything is very clean and in good condition. The bedroom can be completely darkened with a good curtain. The location of the accommodation is very quiet. The host is really nice and helpful. English is also spoken. There are many restaurants and shops around the accommodation with everything you need. The bus stop to the center is not far away. It is an oasis of calm in the noisy city. You have a lot of privacy. The elevator takes you straight to the roof terrace, which you can actually always enjoy alone. There is as much drinking water as you want from a hot and cold water dispenser in the room. I found that very practical. We stayed there for six nights and I would book the accommodation again at any time without thinking twice.

Negative: unclear when the roller doors close at night time. There is a phone number on the back of your keycard you can call if you get locked out, but they don't necessarily pick up quickly. Water dispenser a bit mouldy at the outlet so bought my own drinking water. Shower tap/Water took a while to heat up. positive: great location (but note: Grab taxis, for some reason don't drive down the alley at the Granda entrance. You should meet them at nearby hotel 'Somerset', approximately - easier meeting point). Close to Circle K for food and drink. Good price compared to other hotels. also, it's spacious. Verdict: would return again :)

Very nice clean and spacious apartment. Great location, close to everything and comfortably far enough away from Old Quarter bustling and noice. Which is something you really appreciate after having stayed in the heart of the Old Quarter Lots of nice cafes and restaurants and street food. Super friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommended.
