The fire was lit when we arrived! It was cozy and had everything we needed. Ciara, our host, checked in to see if we needed anything - very kind! We were close to town easy access to good food - highly recommend the Thatch!

It’s clean and the location is for walking around Dungloe is excellent. The bed and pillows are very comfortable. That’s a big priority for me and hard to find in many places but Mary has got this detail correct. It’s a good size apartment for couples or small families and Mary is a wonderful host. I would stay again without hesitation.

The signage on the door of the apartment is very tasteful, but low-lit and therefore, was a bit difficult to read. At first pass, we totally missed seeing the door. However, with the help of a nearby shop owner (found the correct entrance and introduced us to a neighbor), we were soon inside. Our host, Maria, also arrived in quick time to help sort our confusion over the wifi modem, so we were able to meet her and enjoy a short chat. I mention these things not as criticism, but as a testament to the beauty of a small town and it's people. We had a very pleasant stay and loved the Main Street location for getting about on foot. Very nice shops, pubs, and restaurants are up and down the street; and the Dungloe pier is about a ten-minute walk away.
