The hosts were great, greeted us even at the late time we arrived and asked us about our trip and where we've been and where we're going and gave us some helpful tips (only host we had that did that) they upgraded us to a better room and we had some frozen food with us that we couldn't cook and the hosts went above and beyond and cooked the food for us! We were delighted by their hospitality. The room was great, Its location was far and quite remote but that just made it even more enjoyable for us as it was in a prime location to watch the northern lights If you're planning to stay in Egilsstaðir this is the place for you

We were travelling with 2 teens who really enjoyed the upstairs sitting room. Really well appointed, very comfortable. Great location; peaceful with lovely views. We would definitely return.

Skipalaekur Farm Apartments has mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking, situated in Egilsstadir, 32 km from Hengifoss. We stayed here to break up our drive to Myvatn. We were pleasantly surprised at the size of the apartment/room. The pictures made it appear much smaller. The kitchen facilities were great (we cooked a meal), the washer was an added plus and the pullout sofa was surprisingly comfortable. I would definitely recommend this place to stay!

You'll be staying on the whole 2nd floor. The house is very big, and the decoration is very unique. It makes us feel at home. Big bathroom and big kitchen. Very comfortable.
