Gästehaus Reiter is located in the center of Golling on the Salzach River, 16 mi south of Salzburg. It offers free parking, and free WiFi access.

We made a last minute booking so we could break up the trip on our way to another location. We knew nothing of the location and were happily surprised with the many hiking trails and activities in the area. The room was large and comfortable and our hosts were quite friendly, offering suggestions on places to visit in addition to our rather touristy itinerary. Breakfast was phenomenal. We had a large selection of items --all delicious! Parking was directly on the street in front of the hotel.

Great location for us, staff was so great and friendly. Breakfast was as good as you would great in 5 star hotel. We had a large room and it was very modern.

I feel I had all of nature to myself here. Big room, good sized refrigerator and the VIEW! Beautiful scenery of the lake and mountain. The staff was amazing and friendly very helpful as well. Oh and very large shower! So nice to having to cram into a tiny shower.

    The hosts Hanni and Anton were charming and very attentive. The chalet is superb and newly refurbished. Slightly out of town but a couple of miles from a really lovely swimming lake Haarbergsee. Few hundred meters from extra fast ev charger. Highly recommended walk to Bluntautal Lakes and waterfall. Fantastic!

    The views are spectacular and the cost is affordable considering where you are camping. The guy on reception was very helpful and explained everything to us. It was nice and quiet and no streetlights to ruin the views of the night sky. There was no struggle to find a pitch and it was good that we were able to choose our own, as some places don't allow this. With the waterfall being about 800m away it's perfect to hike there in the morning with the added bonus of a smoothing soundtrack at night.

    The hotel was charming, with great views from the balcony and terrace. We stayed there with a toddler for a week and it was a great choice for us. The area has an indoor and outdoor play area that kept our little one entertained and we could enjoy a quiet drink at the terrace. Breakfast was great and a good choice for all the family. The hotel is in the mountains so a rented car is a must-have.

    Great breakfast, quiet rooms with large bathroom (older rooms, but clean), nice balcony. Good location, in the centre of the city. Friendly owner, helpful. Everything was prepared and organized. Parking either on the main street (overnight is OK and free) or private parking. Overall, good value for the money! Beautiful surroundings!!! Nice walks around a small lake, with a view over the city.
