An active farm with active hosts: a young couple & their three daughters who love animals and especially horses. A reflection of an earlier age, in which common tables on the patio provide guests a chance to visit while enjoying beverages (adult & youthful) from a well-stocked fridge near reception, on the honor system: you list what you take next to your room #.
The Austrian-style (cold) breakfast buffet showcases locally/regionally-sourced foods. Ovo-lacto vegetarians will fill up on the filled peppers, the fresh mozzarella w/ basil & tomatoes, and the variety of Müsli, in addition to the home-made jams. Cold cuts also available to complement the fresh rolls.
Horse-y activities take the forefront, and if your 12-year-old daughter has graduated from Frozen to horses, call ahead and order a program of lessons and rides. Horses and cats get biographies in the property guidebook. At checkout, the owner “comped” me the soda I had listed on the chalkboard.
