Kathy was beyond wonderful. She couldn't do enough for her guests and went the extra mile to help me out when I had a very bad reaction to some sort of insect bite I had picked up in France. The property is immaculately clean and the rooms spacious and very comfortable. There is a lovely garden you can relax in and enjoy. The breakfast was great.
Just note the property is a bit isolated so plan your evenings accordingly. There are loads of restaurants in Ypres and some in the local villages.

The whole experience was of a five star hotel. We had stayed in a four star hotel the night before and it exceeded that. Lex is a charming host. He had had an exceptionally stressful day and thought he had to cancel our booking but it the problems sorted before we arrived. In the meantime he had wasted time trying to contact us to tell us not to arrive. We were cycling and missed all his messages. The room with the terrace is amazing. The breakfast was exceptional. And Lex is a delightful and interesting host who spent time with all his guests. Highly recommend.
