With a garden and a terrace, Talbot House is a historic guest house that offers accommodations with free Wifi. Offering a bar, the property is located within 8.4 miles of The Menin Gate.

It's a beautiful old house with a rich history. The hotel was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was great! The lady who runs the hotel was delightful. The museum was very interesting, showing a more human side of the soldiers without losing the sobriety of the historical context.

Great stay in this small town - feels like a gem! We were 'upgraded' to stay in the actual hotel vs the guesthouse down the street. We enjoyed being in the building with the restaurant - which we also ate at and loved!

We got an upgrade on arrival in the main mansion so probably not rating the right room here but wow was it amazing. Lots of cachet! The details in the decoration! The bed was incredibly confortable, the bathroom was gigantic, the coffee delicious, perfect location, nice lady at the reception. We were happy it rained one day just to stay in all cosy!

B&B Stefans Pottery offers accommodations in Poperinge, 16 miles from The Menin Gate and 17 miles from Dunkerque Train Station.

Very well done! Using dishes from the pottery across the street and milk from the cows in the pasture next door. Breakfast was excellent with everything being of high quality and local. A very nice 4 minute walk to a great local restaurant down the road is highly recommend. Try the eel! A pleasure to stay there!!

This is a high quality, very clean guest house where you’re made to feel at home. Ria, our host is very knowledgeable about the area and happy to give advice. The breakfast was excellent with lots of nice cheeses and fresh fruit. Not only are the rooms very nice but also the outside sitting area is absolutely above expectations.

The little things! Lots of towels, beers in the fridge, loo rolls and condiments in the cupboard. A fun playroom of great games to play and plenty of space. And a gorgeous sheep we named Shawn who ran to see us every morning. It was beautifully quiet and had everything we could possibly need. Communications with Ellen were friendly and super helpful too.

Really friendly staff, such a great location! There was an issue with the smoke alarms which was quickly resolved and explained and the breakfast and dining was all part of the great experience. The Rooms are named after Belgium Beer which is quirky and the quiet and central location makes this an ideal base. Parking is on the road which you have to pay for but this isn't expensive and there's plenty of availability. Would absolutely return and recommend.
