This was the fourth time we spent time at Kasteelhoeve de Kerckhem. The place is magical, like stepping into another world. We ate at the property, in the beautiful kitchen, and the food came straight out of the garden and was just mindblowing. Nothing beats top quality and freshness of ingredients. To be quite honest, it was better than the food in many starred restaurants. Everything was perfect.

The location, an old distillery, is quirky from the outside but the real joy is the contrast between what appears a slightly derelict exterior to the exceptional charm, care and style inside. Breakfast is a treat too.

We had a great stay at 't Goed Leven, our hosts could not have been friendlier and the room was spacious, clean and comfortable. We slept really well in the huge bed, the heating kept us warm and there was loads of hot water.
Breakfast was delicious with a range of foods beautifully presented and the bread all freshly baked and still warm!
The neighbourhood was very peaceful. There were a couple of bars within walking distance but plenty of places to eat within a short drive; we especially liked The B52 cafe and Resto (like a canteen set up but the food was great!)
We used the guest house as a base to explore Maastricht, Aachen, Durbuy and also more local areas such as Het Vinne (a pretty nature reserve recommended by Stefanie)

Just a good relaxing time there. Farmyard , horses, goats , chickens , all animals contained but there to look at . Top friendly couple running it , couldn't fault anything .
