Casa Esperanza is located a 5-minute tram ride from the centre of Basel and offers free WiFi and a shared terrace with seating area. The rooms all come with a flat-screen TV.

The staff, Kai, was super helpful. He gave us relevant info and answered all our questions and did his best to accommodate our requests. The room was very neat and clean. We had everything we needed: tea, coffee, cups, plates, etc. The bed was comfortable. Kai was very responsive whenever I contacted him via WhatsApp. Considering how expensive Basel is, I feel I got great value for what I paid.

the place was nice and cozy offered very good breakfast with variety of options very conveniently situated for the purpose of our visit to the city and only a few tram stops from the city center restaurant options and grocery stores just around the corner we also appreciated a spacious bathroom

The owner actually waited for us, even though this was a self checking guest house. He brought our suitcase upstairs and fetched some more bottles of water. So nice and thoughtful!

If I only had one word to describe Chez Jean and Daisy, it would be: Magical. This bed and breakfast in a sleepy hamlet outside of Basel near the German border is nothing short of a treasure. Everything in the house is steeped in history, charm, and beauty. Immediately upon walking in the gate to the property, you are greeted with an elegant garden. At the door, the wise and wonderful Jean embraces you with a larger-than-life personality. Daisy, with her warmth and loveliness, becomes no stranger too. The breakfast is served downstairs in the shadow of a ticking clock that has more character than a Victor Hugo novel. The bread is homemade and deliciously unique.

Easy self-service access to the room, plus a kitchen facility (the coffee machine and the few tea options were a nice addition). The washroom was very well cleaned, as well as the room.

The hosts were really nice and caring and they really did everything to accommodate my needs. I felt really taken care of. Like, for example, they saw that my car didn't have the vignette in the right place and they advise me to put it right to avoid a fine. If I had stayed in a hotel they would not even care I think. Hey also attended to other personal and specific requests I had (for personal reasons I wont share) and they did go above and beyond what I would have expected. Breakfast was very good as well.

    I had a great stay at Bloom. It is a lovely boutique hotel and very comfortable. It's nice and quiet, private, has friendly staff and is simple and stylish and has a nice atmosphere in the rooms. The room is very clean and has everything you need to retreat to after a long day.

    Great location in Basel. Very friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are comfortable. Bathrooms are not super modern, but it works fine. Love the small details for service.
