What a wonderful surprise to have discovered B&B Stirnimann for our two night stay while touring Switzerland. The area is peaceful and lovely and the stay was everything we could ever want and more. Our hosts offered us a warm welcome and made sure we had everything we needed for a perfect stay. The accommodations were not just clean but absolutely spotless and our room was cozy, spacious and very comfortable. We were allowed to use the full kitchen and living room and porch in addition to our room and that was such a treat for us on our long trip. The best part you ask? The best part was Hedi our host who we instantly adored. She is a gracious, funny, kind and friendly force of nature who made sure we were comfortable, offered touring and local information and provided us with a full delicious breakfast. There are some people and places that enhance a trip in special ways that you know you will never forget. Staying at B&B Stirnimann and meeting Hedi will hold a special place in our memory and we hope to return someday.

Beautiful modern home in a 1406 house. When do you get an opportunity to stay in a place like that? The neighborhood was amazing. Very walkable. Breakfast was delicious and Trudi is a great host. We will definitely stay here again. Great place to introduce yourself to Zurich!

Breakfast was more than ample, and I had great choices to tailor the breakfast to suit my preferences. It was delivered to my room at the time I designated. Great service! Plus the room was a studio outfitted with every imaginable appliance to allow me to self-cater if desired. Just terrific thoughtfulness went into planning the room. And I was left alone to come & go as I pleased -- no restrictions on movement in this B&B.

Our stay was short but we are happy to have chosen Fred Guest House… Staff are friendly and very professional.
For travelers who enjoy beauty in the simple things, a bed and breakfast (B&B) is the perfect place for a getaway. Hosts welcome guests into their homes and provide a private room and complimentary breakfast. Bathrooms might be shared by other guests, and there's usually shared space with the host.
Great location, so close from the old town. Very nice and cosy place, amazing facilities, on the ground floor there is kitchen with fridge and coffee available.
Good location, close to the 'covered bridge', but quiet. The staff were helpful, although they seemed a little surprised when we arrived with our bicycles - these were accommodated at the rear of the hotel, secured to railings. Although it has a restaurant, there is also a good one almost opposite the hotel.
The room is quiet and you can make it completely dark. The apartment is in the heart of the city on a pedestrian-only street. There is a small kitchen, quite well equipped. The manager speaks fluent English.
