So worth the drive away from the town! Best view from our villa #3 and best restaurant view too. Huge balcony, quiet and relaxing. We slept on open sliding doors every night listing to birds.

The location is awesome! The villa is on the top of the hill overlooking the lake and the volcano. The view is absolutely stunning. The villa is very private, surrounded by nature.
The room has limited amenities but you don’t really need much. People don’t come to Costa Rica to stay indoors :) The deck upstairs is a nice place to hang out in the morning or at night. We had breakfasts and dinners with the volcano view.
My husband and I were greeted by the host upon arrival. Solomon showed us everything, answered our questions, and gave us some advice on places to visit. He also prepared yummy breakfast for us every morning. Our host’s Bombay cat Panterito liked to hang out with us all the time we spent on premises.
My husband and I enjoyed our stay at Solomon’s place. Thank you so much for your hospitality and friendliness. Pura vida!

Staying here was magical, trees right outside the window, feeling the wind rustling through, but knowing the cabin was very sturdy and safe. One of my favorite places I’ve ever stayed. Very comfortable with a coffee maker, fridge, glasses and cups. No a/c, but wasn’t needed at all, we actually asked for extra blankets

This vacancy is one of the best we have ever stayed at, definitely in the top two while travelling in Costa Rica. Jose is a very nice and knowledgeable host, very communicative, proactive and helpful, kept in contact throughout our journey with very useful bits about the area and answered all our questions in a kind and supportive tone. The property is situated in a secluded area, behind a beautiful forest which we sadly were unable to visit fully due to our early leave, but seemed to be a must for the next time. The room was clean and spacious, the beds were comfy, we had a great sleep. Some utensils like glasses, bedsheets are provided. The bathroom is also top quality, nice touches and furniture everywhere. We have been offered three options for breakfast, from traditional to pancake-style, it was very delicious and tasty, with great Costa Rican coffee served.
To get there be prepared for a tough drive, as whole Monteverde is full with potholes and damaged roads, it's not the property's fault though. A 4x4 and driving very carefully would do the trick.

The service! Daniel is the best receptionist I have ever encountered. He is very knowledgeable about the area and very willing to answer any questions you have. He is very friendly and his English is great! The view of the volcano in the lounge area is a huge bonus as well as the homemade breakfast catered to you. The hotel is right in the heart of La Fortuna. There’s grocery stores all around as well as shops. Not to mention, the horseback riding and zip lining activity I booked with the hotel were fantastic. The horseback riding went around an area giving us a great view of the volcano and the zip line was next to the waterfall so as you can imagine the views were fantastic as well. Would 100% recommend!
For travelers who enjoy beauty in the simple things, a bed and breakfast (B&B) is the perfect place for a getaway. Hosts welcome guests into their homes and provide a private room and complimentary breakfast. Bathrooms might be shared by other guests, and there's usually shared space with the host.
This is a fantastic bungalow that offers great views of volcano Arenal and the lake. The location is great as it is outside of a quiet village and very tranquil. The bungalow is large and conveniently furnished.
The owners are very friendly. We enjoyed the daily breakfast on the big terrace of the restaurant. There are several breakfast options and the Costa Rican breakfast was sensational. We would definitely book this place again.
There are small shops and restaurants in the surrounding area.
The setting is wonderful and all the better for being at the far end of a bumpy track! The ambience is great. The staff at the Nepenthe were very helpful. The Phoenix restaurant is great too. Juan, the maitre d', was charming and so so helpful; played a large part in sorting out a badly mozzie eaten foot by providing flasks of mango leaf infused hot water in which I soaked my foot. And, hey, the food is great as well!
The tents were brand new with a gorgeous view. The owners were also very helpful and recommended us activities in the area. The restaurant next door serves excellent breakfast.
Great location, nice staff, in the middle of the nature you can see so many plants and animals, it’s just great !
The cacao tour is really worth it and the guide is incredible he knows everything about nature in Costa Rica ! It’s the 3rd time I stay here and I would stay there again and again!
Location was perfect for exploring the area, and gave amazing views over the volcano and mountains. The room was spacious with private outside areas and plenty of sockets. All the food massively exceeded expectations. The staff were very friendly and helpful, accommodating personal requests and helping organise activities and transport for us.
