The property itself is beautiful. Incredible views, lovely pool, definitely an extremely well designed and well thought out place to completely relax and unwind for a few days. Other than the bottle marked "conditioner" lathering up in the shower, and the blankets in the rooms showing a little wear - there was nothing I didn't love about the bungalow and the property itself. A stunning retreat.

My stay was excellent. The kitchen was well-equipped, the room was clean and the receptionist Roman was very helpful, recommending plenty of great activities in the area. The hostel also has a lovely common area with hammocks and tables. You can use the washing machine for free :)

This property has a lot to offer. My family of six stayed in two rooms for one night. The best part was the food. We LOVED the authentic Costa Rican meals we were served! We paid for dinner the night we arrived and it was the best meal we had eaten in Costa Rica so far on our vacation. It was reasonably priced and the portions were very generous. The included breakfast the next day was delicious as well. Rosa and Alonzo were very attentive and helpful. The pool was great for cooling off. We were there with a few other guests and didn't feel crowded. It was very clean and enjoyable. The grounds have fairly large common areas and places for the kids to explore. It was fun to watch the plentiful wildlife and notice the many fruit trees on the grounds. We were surprised at how basic and rustic the rooms were but the beds were comfortable and we felt safe.

Lodge Margouillat is located on a property of 4 hectares with an abundance of exotic wildlife and maintained gardens.

It was lovely and modern and clean. Breakfast was amazing a great value, loved the hammocks Bed was wry very comfortable. Kevin was quite a host. He offwered an early breakfast which we requested there was a wonderful seafood restaurant that we ate at for lunch prior to our stay and sit out on the water. There was also a wonderful soda where we had a great dinner very close by. Also a close gas station and close to the ferry. Owners helped us with ferry tickets. Pool wasrefreshing and shaded

Such a wonderful property! Was sad to leave. So peaceful and wonderfully decorated. Host and owner were super friendly and nice to chat with.
