Nice safe property in a cute neighborhood. Nice breakfast and good communication. Close to hot springs and national park. Great restaurant a block away. Pretty view of Irazu volcano in the distance. We only stayed two nights but felt like we want to come back. Staff was very helpful and friendly.

Beautiful and comfortable old hacienda with much character. Our family spent much time enjoying the garden and grounds that have a lovely vegetable and herb garden, ornamental plants, some ancient native trees, and many birds.
Excellent coffee, excellent food, and wonderful service from the host and cook staff. The staff at the Hacienda accommodated our vegetarian dietary request for dinner, and I believe they went out of their way to buy additional local produce for our dinner.
We selected Hacienda La Esperanza in part for its affiliation with the Aquiares Coffee Farm, the largest coffee farm in Costa Rica. The Hacienda is on a ridge with views of the hillside coffee farm and quaint company town. The Aquiares Coffee Farm tour, booked separately, was informative and enjoyable. If you are interested in a unique experience, and particularly if you appreciate fine coffee, please visit Hacienda La Esperanza and take a tour at the farm: https://www.aquiares.com/

It's a wooden shack on 2850m. In the evening it can get chilly. There is a fireplace in the main room by the bedrooms, just need to make sure you have the wood. The host is a cool guy, prepares the breakfast in the morning. I only had a quick stay, but the property with the land is big, and there are hiking trails around.
For travelers who enjoy beauty in the simple things, a bed and breakfast (B&B) is the perfect place for a getaway. Hosts welcome guests into their homes and provide a private room and complimentary breakfast. Bathrooms might be shared by other guests, and there's usually shared space with the host.
This is an AMAZING place to stay and the staff are the ones who make it perfect! They are the real charm of the place, without them this place wouldnt be as welcoming and charming as it is! A huge thank you to both of them
Wow what an awesome place! regretted not staying more nights... Very nice location, lots of animals (saw toucans and hummingbirds very close from our window), quiet, spacious, amazing bathroom and best view of the entire trip. Great host, breakfast, pool! Parking space!
