Staff went all out to help us arrange our hike down from the crater to the lodge, even to arrange for our driver to get us two hiking poles to borrow.

The hosts and staff were absolutely fantastic, friendly and welcoming! the room was clean and comfortable. Do not take note to previous reviews about no hot water! The shower was hot!! The breakfast was served at our table and there was plenty of variety. We will be back!

Unforgettable views from the room and terrace. Quiet and peaceful, only beautiful birdsong waking up in the morning. Perfect for access to hiking trails and for seeing and experiencing authentic life in the valley. Best breakfast I have had :) and delicious food at dinner too. Warmly recommend!

Overall, a nice stay and experience. It is true that the property is a bit difficult to reach, but you also get amazing views in return. No direct hikes from the property. The staff was not overwhelmingly friendly, but I do believe that these very young women are doing their best to run the place. Good working hot shower!
