We were surprised at the size of the property and grounds. The main house is beautiful.Our chalet(chambre d’hotes) was immaculately clean with plenty of room inside, great power shower, self catering facilities if you needed them but we ate out in the evening so didn’t need them. Underfloor heating, was nice but also had air conditioning in the room if you’re staying in the summer months. Breakfast,which is served in the conservatory, was delicious, with more than enough to eat and drink. Francois, our host, was friendly and made us feel really welcome. Although we didn’t use it, there is an outdoor swimming pool in the garden which was surrounded by sun loungers which would be a great place to relax in summer.

Very relaxing, bright and clean. Bed was very comfortable, we used the microwave and had a lovely meal sat at the table.

We were visiting relatives in the Houdan area and booked this venue blind, so were pleasantly surprised by the comfort and quality. The owner, Marie, was extremely friendly but not intrusively so, and very hospitable. She makes much of her own produce for breakfast including a range of jams and pastries. The room is very comfortable and most importantly has proper shutters over the French windows. There is a large garden and a swimming pool which we didn't attempt to use because at this time of the year the temperature never rose above 9°C. We were very happy here.

This property is a sanctuary of calm. It has only a few rooms and the owners Marie Claire and Vincent live on-site. They were available for anything I needed, from a glass of wine in the afternoon to booking a taxi when I needed to go out for the evening. I felt personally taken care of here. Their on-site restaurant has exceptional seasonal dishes and a lovely wine list. I booked a standard room, which was more like a suite - sitting room with fireplace and a full kitchen, plus a private outdoor lounge area with seating and table. The best part of this stay was the peaceful surroundings. I found myself listening to bird song and leaves blowing through the trees - an activity in itself here. The property has stone walls around the perimeter and grounds for walking with tons of beautiful trees that are centuries old. It was so restorative.

My children are looking for a place to rest close to home. We finally found it here. The place is beautifully decorated and peaceful. The staff is a very nice family. It is a warm place to stay. In addition, the Jacuzzi in the room is very cool. We will definitely go back.❤️

A wonderful place with wonderful hosts! They kept a fire burning in the fireplace for us all evening and it was so cozy! Slept like a baby in the comfortable bed and enjoyed a lovely breakfast. The town is super charming with a fabulous restaurant just across the street. Highly recommend a visit and do hope I will get the chance to return there!
