We found Quimperle a good base from where to explore the surroundings, including Carnac and Josselin, by car. The accommodation was excellent while the hostess was very helpful and friendly.

The host family, Fabienne and Jacky, are great fun and make you feel at home immediately. Breakfast is simple but excellent, with crepes, fresh fruit, bread and home made jams - and deliciously naughty home made caramel - as well as juice and coffee. Not all hosts in Brittany are laid back, but these folk certainly are, giving you recommendations and certainly not suffocating you. Their garden is at your use and the river is at the end of the lane, if you fancy a swim! Warmer than the Atlantic for sure! It’s okay if you are a decent swimmer, so long as the tide is not in. They don’t speak great English, but, hey! it was great to be somewhere where you didn’t feel like a complete dork language-wise vis a vis our European friends. Mozzies can be a bit of a problem so pacy repellent.

Beautiful, spacious room with a view of the sea through the trees. Delightful hosts who have thought of their guests' comfort in every detail. Spacious lounge area to relax in. 5 mins' walk to beaches and port. Homemade chocolate chip cake, fresh bread and local jams for breakfast were divine. A class act: would highly recommend.
For travellers who enjoy beauty in the simple things, a bed and breakfast (B&B) is the perfect place for a getaway. Hosts welcome guests into their homes and provide a private room and complimentary breakfast. Bathrooms may be shared by other guests, and there is often shared space with the host.
The Manoir was situated on a long private drive through beautiful woodland. On arrival we sat in the sumptuous and well groomed gardens, a pleasure after a long drive. We were greeted by Kim who being half French/English made our check-in easy. The Manoir is very traditional and the rooms well apportioned and immaculately furnished.
We were warmly welcomed by Pascal who provided us with a good deal of info on the locality. The gite is tastefully decorated, immaculately clean and well equipped. The bed was very comfortable even with the headroom restriction due to the sloping roof. Outside, the enclosed garden was very private with a covered terrace and bbq. The nearest shops are 5mins drive away in Moelan where there is also a sizeable weekly market.
The setting was perfect for us as my wife has family in that area. The garden was lovely and we bbq'd most nights. The kitchen was well laid out and the bedrooms. Generally the whole surrounding area was quiet and peaceful. Beach access is a drive of 10 minutes or more and there are a couple of good boulangeries and general stores close.
The location of the house is very pleasant , although the garden could be a tad more private. Obviously the owners are aware and have planted a hedge which will be fine in a couple of years . however that really does not detract from the enjoyment of the garden and the tennis court. The house itself is very tastefully decorated and comfortable , with some really lovely colour combinations and art works . We had a wonderful time and would go back anytime . The owner is absolutely charming .
Charming and spacious house, that felt welcoming to us 8 from the first minute. The kitchen supplies were impressive and much appreciated! The games cabinet was a favorite for the kids, alongside with the comfy TV area of course. Absolut recommendation for a family holiday!
Lovely hosts, extremely engaging with my partner and I, they made us very much at home. Stunning house which we had to ourselves. Lovely quiet location, just a short distance from beautiful beaches and open country. Defiantly consider a return visit. Excellent breakfast, more than ample. Fabulous experience.
