Very happy I booked here. Location is great, on the Main Street, close to restaurants, shops, pubs. Parking available right outside the door. My room was spotless, looks new. Bright decor, plenty of light. The ensuite bathroom was spacious with a good shower. I wouldn't hesitate booking 'James Lyons' The Old Main Street, again.

The room was newly decorated. It had a lovely soft carpet. The furniture, the bed, desk, drawers were very tastefully presented. The bathroom was clean with ample towels supplied. The shower was new and powerful, although a little snog. The management and staff were friendly and helpful. The room was reasonably priced. The location was perfect. The only fault was the music from the street that could be heard from my room. I did not hear the music after midnight.
For travellers who enjoy beauty in the simple things, a bed and breakfast (B&B) is the perfect place for a getaway. Hosts welcome guests into their homes and provide a private room and complimentary breakfast. Bathrooms may be shared by other guests, and there is often shared space with the host.
Breakfast was basically whatever you wanted:- Fruit, pastries, toast, full irish, cereal, nuts, yoghurt......... Super friendly dogs but kept to their own area. Decent internet. Very rural. Rooms well lit and comfortable., Desk, wardrobe, dryer etc. Quiet at night. Plenty of parking.
Everything. The house is beautiful, the room was perfect, the quality of everything was exceptional. Tommy and Pam went above and beyond to make me feel welcome with a pot of tea and a scone when I arrived after a long day. The house is so quiet and the breakfast was fantastic. Will be back again when I’m next in the area.
Our host was amazing and looked after us really well. She organised a taxi for us when we needed it as well! She cooked us lovely breakfasts and I loved the strawberry yoghurt and fresh fruit salad. The room was spacious with a lovely outlook. Close to a laundrette and Lidl. Very happy.
Our host was just exceptional. Tommy was the full time host and he was so attentive I was just amazed. Plus he's a fantastic cook! And all the help in navigating and finding fun and interesting places to visit was so helpful, better than any tour guide could have been. the rooms were spacious and comfortable with plenty of space for all of us. Very quiet country setting but lots to do near by, more than I thought.
From start to finish my stay at Glenvela House was exceptional; the communication between myself and the hosts, the set up, comfort and cleanliness of the room, the friendly atmosphere, the idyllic setting, the excellent breakfast and the welcoming doggies. Exactly what I needed for my quick stay. Though I could have definitely stayed longer quite comfortably! Would highly recommend.
Pure luxury. Everything about the place was excellent. Lovely big bedroom and bathroom. Very comfortable bed and bed linen and pillows. Big tv and a sofa to chill on. Welcomed with fresh scones and tea. Tommy and Pam amazing hosts. They have a fabulous place, a gem.
