My buddy & I had a splendid stay here at The Midway. The location was perfect, downtown and walkable to any local pub and restaurant. We were able to park on the street both nights at no cost to us, a nice perk. We had great conversations with the two bartenders each night along with the other patrons at the bar. Breakfast & dinner were also a big plus! Delicious food!
The rooms weren't anything fancy, but we didn't mind at all. They worked for what we needed - basic beds and bathroom amenities but clean.
This is a family run place and it was really amazing to connect to the family while we were here. I'd stay here in a heartbeat if I ever find myself in Dungloe again.

While staying in Derry, someone we met recommended this place. We were travelling from the U.S. to Ireland and are glad we adjusted our plans to stay here as we were looking for something that was a bit more authentic that some of the larger hotels we had been at.
This is a tavern in a more rural area - a no frills room above a fantastic pub. If that is what you are looking for this is a great place to stay. The pub was fun and lively and had a trad session one of the nights we were there. The owners were great to interact with and since we were there over the Christmas Holiday, all the the bar staff were young people home from university which made conversations very fun.
It doesn't offer food but it it right across from a great diner (Kitty's).
We loved it. When we go back to Donegal, we will stay there again.

Recommend 👌 to stay when planning your trip to Co. Donegal. Thank you, Nicola, for tasty breakfast and fresh hot coffee in the morning.
For travelers who enjoy beauty in the simple things, a bed and breakfast (B&B) is the perfect place for a getaway. Hosts welcome guests into their homes and provide a private room and complimentary breakfast. Bathrooms might be shared by other guests, and there's usually shared space with the host.
Great to be able to use the health suite and pool at no extra cost. . Rooms spacious. Quaint little hotel. Onsite restaurant was nice and average priced. The petting zoo was right beside us, everything else was within driving distance.
Fantastic hotel, really enjoyed our stay, great location loads to do around the area and staff incredibly helpful and friendly, food was lovely in the bar/restaurant
Absolutely stunning place couldn't fault it even if I tried everything you could need is there. The views of the mountains and lake are stunning. Little village up the road is so handy also. Great location great house will defo be going back. There was 6 of us and we had more than enough room for us all kids had a great time
Nice, quiet location and very convenient to the nearby beach. There are two bedrooms - a double and a single. Noreen the host had all the necessities provided - toiletries, washing-up liquid, towels, sheets, etc - and she said if I lacked anything to call on her (she lives next door). I was using the cottage as a base while hill-walking in Donegal and so was gone for most of every day. A total absence of noise ensured a good night's sleep every night.
I loved the location, quiet and close to Errigal mountain. The shower pressure was amazing too.
