Offering a garden and garden view, The Dales is situated in Gorey, 37 km from Glendalough Monastery and 39 km from Altamont Gardens.

Excellent property, secure and plenty of parking. The entrance to the home is so grand and welcoming, you feel like you are walking into a grand mansion in the country. Beautifully appointed, and host Bernadette makes you feel comfortable right away and gives just the right amount of attention without it being too much. Some lovely touches in the room like fresh flowers and a yummy homemade strawberry smoothie as a welcome drink. Everything was there to make my stay an extra special treat, a comfy bed and the bathroom in my room was like being in a Spa, with a spacious power shower and huge soaking tub. I was in heaven! And then to cap at all, Bernadette provided a custom order breakfast, with organic fruits and yoghurt as well as a yummy cooked breakfast and delicious coffee. The location is slightly off the beaten track, but well worth the extra drive to stay there as this is a unique property in the Irish countryside with great views and even resident goats and wild rabbits on the lawn to add to the gorgeous views from the bedroom windows.

Shelley made a big effort to ensure we got into the room when we wanted - a little earlier than check in - and prepared a lovely breakfast. She was friendly and helpful. Loved the big windows out to countryside. Thank you Shelley!

The owner is very hard working and always looks out for the guests. They have 2 beautiful dogs and a massive garden with lots of space. The area is a bit secluded, which makes it nice and quiet.

The photos do not do this place justice. Some rooms I believe are a little brown. But the room I stayed in and the rooms beside me we decorated so beautiful! You could tell the person own does the decor really enjoys it. Super clean rooms! Comfortable and quiet. Stunning breakfast with fresh fruit compote and freshly made grill.

Beautiful house in a very quiet country setting with friendly dogs. We were in a Luxury Quadruple room and it’s quite possibly one of the nicest rooms I’ve ever stayed in! Very spacious and decor very much to my liking. Enjoyed a bath too, very relaxing on the muscles after a days walking.

We loved the private sauna in our room- a real treat! We loved our greeting from the four-legged hosts too. Bed was comfy, the location is very quiet and elegantly furnished, with absolutely beautiful surroundings. Breakfast options were very tasty. And very close to Avoca hand weaving mill if you’re interested in that too.
