A very quaint and sensitively restored property housing the oldest continuously operating bookshop in Iceland with a suite of three rooms above sharing breakfast and bathroom facilities. Stuffed with antiques and a completely authentic 1960s or maybe 50s kitchen. The refrigerator is loaded with excellent quality breakfast goodies that you can help yourself to. The staff are simply wonderful. You must visit the bookshop on your visit, it is one of the most stylish and thoughtful shops in Iceland, possibly Europe.

We receved an upgrade of our room. Thé kitchenette and eating room were seperated by a door and they were nice. There was a really big television screen. We had a problem with the lock on the door and the owner was available to help us immediately.

Very friendly service. We were there for the race weekend of Fossavatnsgangan 2024 and the hosts even put a breakfast package for us to the fridge. They also immediately helped when our car got stuck in snow. Just wonderful kind, gracious and helpful people!

Good kitchen, comfy couches, small but cozy room, and easy to check-in.
For travellers who enjoy beauty in the simple things, a bed and breakfast (B&B) is the perfect place for a getaway. Hosts welcome guests into their homes and provide a private room and complimentary breakfast. Bathrooms may be shared by other guests, and there is often shared space with the host.
Very quiet, clean, comfortable and friendly staff. Good hot tub.
The cafe across the valley normally shuts 5pm but the woman who runs it will cook dinner for guests (and she’s a very good cook)!
Amazing place in an amazing village. Very quiet, picturesque location. Will highly recommend this place to everyone. Separate kitchen area should you wish to cook. Breakfast served in a cafe short walk from hotel
Very nice old Icelandic house with a few private bedrooms, shared everything else. Great view! Room was super clean and comfy. Bathrooms/toilet were great too. Loved that there were tons of boardgames!
The quiet and remote countryside location, view of the mountains, close to the fjord and beach. The property and staff are wonderful. I would stay here again the next time I visit the Westfjords.
Great location with mountain views and very quiet. Has a hot tub and small beach by the Fjord. Has a big lounge area with comfortable seating and a big breakfast room. Breakfast was continental with a good choice. Our room was small but clean and comfortable with a mountain view. The bathroom / shower was good. Great location for Northern lights if the conditions are right.
it is sooo charming! beautiful place with a real soul. a nice living room to chill in the evening. Great breakfast! Quietness around. close to a super cool place to eat out (Vagninn). bathroom are shared but nice bathtub and good shower (2 bathrooms for 3 bedrooms so really good ratio). The owner receives you nicely with small chocolates, he takes the time to show you around and lets you know about the family history.
Great host, fantastic view outside and the place is full of charm and history.
The town is small and quiet which is great to rest after a long day in the fjords.
