I stayed at the guesthouse with my son, we had a special request for the room due to health issues, and the guesthouse met our request. The location is super, very central. The rooms are big, clean and really comfortable. Definitely staying there again when we visit again.

Only the most basic amenities in the little house, and nowhere comfortable to sit and socialise. The guesthouse is separate to the main hotel, which is great, but everything was shut and there was no one there. Despite the advert of a bar and also breakfast if desired, that simply wasn’t an option. We did message the owners who were quick to respond, but they offered no alternate ideas or solutions. It honestly felt like a creepy place to stay. I think it would be fine if you’re simply after a place to sleep for a few hours, arrive late and then move on immediately. You can only get here by car. We had stayed at multiple other places in Iceland and had a car with us.
