Such a nice place !! We checked in late and had to leave early the next morning. We were only there for one night but wished we could’ve stayed longer. The rooms are beautiful, with privâtes bathroom and parking spots. Quiet area and it had everything we needed. The reception and restaurant looked beautiful too, really wished we could’ve stayed !!!

There are 4 spacious bedrooms each with its own attached bathroom in a nicely decorated house with shared living room, dining area, well-equipped kitchen and clothes washer cum dryer. Host provides items like juices, yoghurt, butter, jams, cheese, bread, eggs that we use to prepare our own breakfast. Kitchen has necessary cooking utensils, cooking oil, spices & condiments.
Patio area has lovely sunset views.
Friendly housekeeper met us at checkin & gave detailed explanation of how to operate kitchen appliances. She also recommended nice farmhouse restaurant nearby for meals.

Avoid at all costs. Truly the worst experience ever. Turned up to what seemed an empty farm to be greeted by a (surely) drunk man. He had a cigarette hanging from his mouth, a tattered vest with his belly hanging out. He seemed to be the owner and gave us a key to our cottage. It was clean but nothing like photos and it smelled very strongly of curry.
We asked for another cabin but couldn’t communicate with him. A young couple turned up who had just started working there. They agreed it smelt very bad but said they couldn’t move us to another cabin (despite the resort being empty). We asked for a refund, they said we had to speak to the owner and looked embarrassed.
We checked into the Fosshotel. Thank goodness.
The worst and most horrible experience. We asked booking.com to refund but they said they couldn’t get a response from the owner. No wonder.

Great breakfast and very nice staff.
Pay attention: the check-in is at a separate building on the other side of the road then where you have to go in to get to the bed and breakfast.
The pictures look more polished than what it looks like in real life. But, everything you need is there.

The room was comfy, warm and perfectly located. It's next to Dimmuborgir and 7 minutes away from the Myvatn Nature Baths, so I didn't use the shower in the room. It was self-checking - easy peasy! It's Icelandic tradition to leave your shoes outside so a show rack and show horn are provided outside each room :)
Set just 44 km from Myvatn Nature Baths, CJA Guesthouse offers accommodation in Laugar with access to a garden, a shared lounge, as well as a 24-hour front desk.

Location was great and the hot tub was an added bonus! The restaurant was lovely too and we loved having the complimentary breakfast each day. Rooms were really spacious too.
For travellers who enjoy beauty in the simple things, a bed and breakfast (B&B) is the perfect place for a getaway. Hosts welcome guests into their homes and provide a private room and complimentary breakfast. Bathrooms may be shared by other guests, and there is often shared space with the host.
Lovely Hotel.
Would stay here for the buffet alone!
But also - wonderful picture windows if you are lucky enough to see the northern lights, great location with views of natural craters and lots of birdlife. Perfect spot for walking and taking in the view. Staff were very helpful.
Free tea and coffee whenever you need it.
Great breakfast and dinner buffet options and all in all a very charming hotel with lots of personality.
Elevator was a bonus as we were travelling with my elderly mother.

Great location at the Myvatn Lake side but still quiet at night, very comfortable beds and bedsheets, great breakfast selection.
Free coffee in the lobby, pool table, hot tub and sauna outside. Heating very strong and immediate warmth in the room after switching on.
Bus groups hotel stopover for the night, but not disturbing.
great location at the lake Myvatn, very comfy and quiet rooms with floor heating, great restaurant with delicious dishes (dill cured arctic char, beef burger, lamb shank) and nice beer/alcohol selection, cow farm where you can pet the cows and see the farmers milking them through the windows.
Self check in was super smooth and allowed us to be flexible with time. quiet, warms and cleans rooms, maybe on the smaller side of things. great location with lots to do in the area.
