Hello! Awesome little B&B. Great find and loads better than just a hotel. The owner and staff are friendly and helpful in every way possible. It’s tucked away but close to truly everything with a walk or public transportation. My last night I was the only one staying there, the communication was just as attentive as before/during the rest of my stay. I will definitely book again given the chance.
In a central area of Reykjavík, Freyja Guesthouse & Suites provides rooms with free Wifi.

Freya Guesthouse was comfortable and a good location. For walking to food, museums, and sites. Also near bus stops.
The staff was very nice and the house was clean. We had a shared bathroom, which I was nervous about. We did not have to wait because there were 3 bathrooms ,and one was always open.
I would stay here again. Thanks!

Great location and check-in was an absolute breeze! Our hostess, Thorey, went above and beyond to find some glue to help me repair the soles on my poor, abused hiking boots. :)

The place was very quiet and cute decorated, You have fully equipped and cozy kitchen. You can have some coffee, tea, cereal, etc. Every room has different name on the door, with very cute keys by the way. The staff is very kind and can help you whenever you need. They invited us to a complimentary breakfast in the main property Blue House B&B - Icelandic pancakes and coffee. They also inform you if the sky is clear, and where you can catch the Aurora - next to the property 2min up the hill or on Grotta lighthouse 25 min walking. RECOMMEND
Iceland is amazing. 🇮🇸❤️

FAQ about B&Bs in Reykjavík
On average, a B&B in Reykjavík costs $127 per night (based on Booking.com prices).
The guesthouse is very strategically close both to the city centre and the bus terminal (from which the buses to the airport depart directly, with no need to book for the drop off/ pick up service), but at the same is in a quiet and very green residential area. The room is small (but it was clear from the pictures posted, so no surprises there) but very clean and comfortable. Thorey was a great host and ready to help when I called her before arriving, and left very specific instructions for us regarding our stay. Lovely dog too!
Lovely choice of common sitting areas. Great buffet breakfast - loads of variety and choice. Great location just a short stroll to city centre and shops. Next to the old working marina. Plenty of places to eat nearby but be aware if Icelandic prices - great quality food but not cheap - not the hotel’s fault in any way.
Treasure is an excellent choice in Reykjavík. Close to everything but on a quiet street. Excellent breakfast and the room felt like a good value. Great host.
Great location, close to city centre but yet quiet. Helpful instructions before arrival. Parking spot was a plus.
Appartment is nicely decorated and welcoming.
Excellent beautiful modern room (bed, bathroom etc.) just like on the photo's. It's a recent build new hotel, that's why. Only around 10 minutes walk from beginning main street (foodhall/BSI bus platform). If book earlier is average cheaper then the ones in and around the city centre. No noise from people outside, because quiet neighborhood. You can sleep much better also rooms are more isolated.
Very good price for a single room in Reykjavik, was even cheaper than dorm-beds in some hostels! Good location, only a few minutes walk to city center. Supermarket next door, still the street itself is rather quiet. Very clean and also has basic equipment for cooking.
Excellent breakfast, comfy bed, big rooms. Refrigerator even has a freezer. Great location if you have a car, close to city center, 8 min to old harbour. Very good value for the money.
Great location. Close (1Km) from Bus Station to most touristy locations. Also walking to the city centre. Pleasant location near the lake. V quiet and peaceful
Baron's Hostel is cheap, super clean, with very confortable beds. Dormitories are small, thus quiet. The hosts are charming and very helpful. The location is excellent, close to city centre and BSI. There's an excellent swimming pool just accross the street, with hot pots to relax after a busy day. I could'nt wish for a better place to stay in Reykjavik.
