This turned out to be a great choice. The location turned out to be incredible! Arona is pretty small and the historic area is very walkable. Just a reminder for future travelers. The street address, #6, is actually off a tiny alleyway, behind a gate. It’s easily missed. Our hosts were great. As was the breakfast. The lodging is one flight of stairs, your room is another flight up. But the hostess and her husband were ready to help so not an issue for a couple of oldsters. We arrived by a scheduled, but seasonal, bus from the airport. The drop off Plaza is an easy 5 minute walk to the BnB. The other drop off spot is the train station about a 15 or 20 minute walk. Easy and flat.

Housed in a historic building, the recently renovated Il Giardino di Sofia provides accommodations with a garden and free Wifi. With mountain views, this accommodation offers a terrace.

What I liked the most about this property is the proximity to the center and the wonderful hospitality provided by the hosts. They were very friendly and accomodating to all of our needs, they are willing to help you if needed. The place is very clean and in a very safe and lovely neighborhood.
