The room we got (No 2) is huge, light and airy, being newly renovated with its own independent keycode entry from the side of the building which has a river running parallel to it. The style is a perfect blend of rustic and modern with a beautiful big fireplace. The recessed lighting in it gives the room a really nice atmosphere. The king size bed and walk in shower are both fabulous, and the room is equipped with a mini fridge, kettle, coffee machine, cups and although breakfast is not provided at this B&B, bottled water, tea bags, coffee pods, a lovely individually wrapped cake from the owner's son's bakery, toasts, jams & nuttela are thoughtfully provided for each morning on the eve during Antonietta the cleaner's visit. Whatever has been used is replenished. Communication with Marisa the owner is very effective and easy and we loved chatting with her. She told us the room was previously part of a restaurant and about turning it into an additional room for the B&B. Parking is available both in front of the property and nearby for free. The cute historic town centre is only a couple of minutes walk away. We would happily stay at La Dogana again!

Delightful villa, beautifully furnished, quiet neighbourhood but an easy 15 min walk into the ravishingly lovely historic town centre. Monica was charming, helpful, kind and provided the best breakfast we have been offered in a private house. A feast! And optional encounters with the beautiful dogs were a bonus.

Beautiful place. High level of comfort in the rooms and in the building in particular, high quality construction, friendly staff. I was passing through and could not enjoy the main advantages of this place - agriculture and proximity to the beach.

A great experince. Helpful host. Great communication. Clean and nice accomodation.
For travellers who enjoy beauty in the simple things, a bed and breakfast (B&B) is the perfect place for a getaway. Hosts welcome guests into their homes and provide a private room and complimentary breakfast. Bathrooms may be shared by other guests, and there is often shared space with the host.
Stayed only for night but would have enjoyed more. Right in the center, but still quiet, very well equipped. The breakfast in the patio was sweet Italian, but tasty. A perfect stopover or base to discover the area. Portogruaro is a true gem.
Very friendly staff, great location in the city center, parking available directly on the street. Large room with comfortable beds, huge terrace with a view of the green courtyard. Good, typical Italian breakfast.
An overnight on a long drive.
Just a hotel near the motorway…great location.
But no this fine hotel is at the centre of a beautiful village.
Has easy parking and an excellent fresh breakfast.
Out welcome at reception was both friendly and informative.
Passing the gate into the garden felt like entering a different world. Our host Monica was extremely nice and welcoming. The place is absolutely charming. The breakfast was delicious.
It was like a private little castle. Quiet, clean. Came with a decent sized pool for the hot weather. 3 beautiful little dogs greet you every time and the hosts were friendly, kind, and generous with their time and help.
Right in the city center. This was our third time in this hotel. Portogruaro is a very charming town, we always like to spend a day here on the way to Tuscany. And Hotel Spessotto is a perfect hotel to stay in.
Amazing location right in the centre of the town just a few minutes walk to all main attractions, bars and restaurants. The room was very nice, comfortable and clean. The hotel has a private parking, which is free of charge. Although it's in the city centre, it's easily accessible. Highly recommend this property.
