Close to the secondary gate to Wilpattu, very friendly staff and nice surroundings of the rooms! It does take a while to get into the park and we felt we didn’t see many animals in the first stretch, so book a full day safari to not be disappointed. Only comment is that I realized they charge a 10% service charge on the entire bill, including the room fees, which led to us paying close to 25 euros in service charges, which is a lot.

Overall, the accommodation was nice. The view was stunning, the rooms were clean, and the AC was powerful. Both the towels and bedding were comfortable, which added to a pleasant stay. Additionally, the breakfast and dinner provided were enjoyable and of good quality.

Wonderful accommodations and food. Staff very friendly and helpful. I was birdwatching and this was the best kept secret of my 3 weeks in Sri Lanka. Definitely the place to stay for birders and bird groups because many birds east to see are on the property or walking the road. Building nests outside my room, easy to see because the canopy is lower and they walk around and fly constantly. I had 42 species in just over an hour without going very far from my patio and the entry. Plus Jeep safaris are offered by them into Wilpattu National Park. The owner will assist you in all ways just call 94 77 947 8036 on what’s app. He arranged an airport transfer for me traveling solo. Highly recommend especially the rooms in the separate building where I stayed adjacent to the main building.

The location is great, far from noise. It’s very calm and peaceful. The house is also very clean and spacious. The caretaker, Sadi (I hope I spelled the name correctly), is a super nice guy and always ready to help. He makes staying here even more special. Overall, I would highly recommend to stay here.
It is also possible to organize a safari trip. The price seems fair, and the driver will pick you up directly from the house. I was very satisfied with how well it was organized.
Offering garden views, Wilpattu Mookalan Resort in Habawewa offers accommodations, free bikes, and a garden. Both free Wifi and parking on-site are available at the guest house free of charge.

Lovely little family-run place right next to the entrance to the national park where all the safaris start. Getting to the rooms involves walking on a little, short path in the brush, which is really quaint! The mother-son- and-father trio really do their best to accomodate, e.g. arranging safari as well as onward transport for us and even offering us a free ride into town (about 15mins away) to get to an ATM! Room with bath was clean, with mozzie nets, and fan and even AC (which we hardly used). Dining is just outside the room -- the mother cooks at her house and then the son or father brings the food over on their bike and serves it up so lovingly.
Featuring lake views, Wilpattu Green Cabin in Achchamulai offers accommodations, a garden, and a shared lounge.

Great location by a river in a farming community
Staff were friendly and efficient and arranged a half day safari for us. Didn’t go as planned as the gate close by to np was closed due to flooding so had to be driven to main gate This was all done with efficiency as it was organised the night before
River great for a swim and loved the hammocks by the river to laze around in
Overall a great place to stay that’s quite and easy going
For travelers who enjoy beauty in the simple things, a bed and breakfast (B&B) is the perfect place for a getaway. Hosts welcome guests into their homes and provide a private room and complimentary breakfast. Bathrooms might be shared by other guests, and there's usually shared space with the host.
Great place and great host! Thanks Anton for hosting us :) only 3 km from Wilpattu park entrance, small but very nice sweeming pool, and a quite place with wonderful pond with birds on the backyard.
This was a lovely boutique hotel with great service, the staff were all lovely and friendly and all went out of their way to ensure our stay was a happy one, it had a lovely pool which we sadly didn’t get chance to use and a very nice separate restaurant/dining area which served lovely food. The room was very comfortable with ceiling fan and air con and fully stocked: shampoo, conditioner and shower gel which were all very nice.
Great secluded spot to soak up nature, watching giant squirrels and Langurs from your room. Elephants roaming the grounds early in the morning too 😎
Room was comfy with plenty of space, staff were super friendly and very helpful
The private plunge pool was a lovely touch after a hot day out
Luxury accommodation with superb meals in a jungle setting. We did the all day safari seeing leopards, elephants, crocodiles and loads of birds. Also the evening boat safari which was relaxing, but very informative with a knowledgeable guide. The setting is idyllic next to the river. There are only a handful of other guests so plenty of space for sitting, relaxing.
The food is of a very high standard, beautifully presented and good value. Nothing is too much trouble for the attentive waiting staff.
The stuff was friendly and the owner was there for us to organise safari. He also tried to find other guest, so we could share a jeep for the safari (unfortunately it didn't work). He also called a tuc tuc for us to bring us back to the main road. The place is in a quiet area, where you mostly only hear the noise of the animals.
Close to the hotel there is a small local snack bar where you can get nice local fingerfood.
The rooms were ok for the price and they were clean.
Amazing accommodation, super friendly host and crew. Beautiful new rooms, new bathroom…, luxury looking. Amazing bed and pillows, by far the best stay. Beautiful garden with fresh fruits, tons of birds to watch and according to paw prints, the occasional elephant. Very good food
Great location, very quiet and relaxed. Staff very helpful although their English was limited - Gihan the owner wasn’t there but contactable by phone - Google translate helped with communication. Delicious breakfast especially the pancakes.
It’s in a great location, peaceful and safe. The tents we stayed in were not the luxury ones but were insect proof and comfortable enough. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The nature walk was worthwhile, the naturalist was knowledgeable.
Awesome hospitality. Great location.
Go for Mahoora preferably as it is more spacious than the Big Game.
Day time is warmer but the night is really cozy.
Thusitha is great host - very humble, prompt and accommodating.
