Great location, the houses were very cosy. Keys were left in the door for us to find so we could just move in regardless of the reception opening times. The view of Lauwersmeer was amazing, inspired a good sense of calm and relaxation.

I loved how much of a "hidden" gem feeling this place has. We needed a place to go stargazing and B&B Lauwersstate was one of the few ones that was nearby. It ended up being an amazing decision!
The owner Ingrid personally welcomed us in the parking lot and told us about the area and gave us suggestions where to go. She had a lot of information about activities around the area. She really made us feel welcome and even helped us reserve a timeslot for an Alpaca farm the next day because our stargazing plans were changed due to bad weather.
There's spacious parking in the front. The room was so pretty, clean and newly renovated. The bathroom and toilet was gorgeous. We could freely use the kitchen however we wanted to eat our own food we had brought with us. It was complete with a fridge, water cooker, coffee maker etc. -- even the room too.
The BnB is very close to the dijk which would be excellent for stargazing if the weather permitted. If you're in the north I would definitely recommend staying here. 5/5 stars I couldn't recommend it more. I'm definitely going to come back!

Very friendly owners. The cabin we booked was spacious, clean and had everything we need. The breakfast was also very nice. We did the waddenlopen which is just a few minutes away from the accommodation and it was awesome.

The stuff is friendly in the Frisian way, it means no yakketi-yack and unnecessary chin music. Beds and furniture are plain and comfortable, explanations will be two syllabic and comprehensible. Bathroom fitment is nothing special but functional. Everything is neat and fresh. The garret rooms ain't hot even though at the time I visited it was quite torrid outside. About the degree of their beds' comfort nothing can I say as I'm extremely unpretentious in this regard. Anything that is not flint hard or jelly soft is comfortable for me. I suppose it's just good if I'm not bleating about it.

For travellers who enjoy beauty in the simple things, a bed and breakfast (B&B) is the perfect place for a getaway. Hosts welcome guests into their homes and provide a private room and complimentary breakfast. Bathrooms may be shared by other guests, and there is often shared space with the host.
Concept, arrangements of the common spaces, of living spaces which invite to socialise, Quiet, parking lot, cats, host, cleanness, vicinity to the ferry.
Good sized room, nice sea views, quiet, super friendly staff and an amazing breakfast. We were on a cycling holiday and it’s the perfect stopping off point. It only opened at the start of 2022, and is owned by the family who run the excellent fish restaurant next door, so there’s a sense of pride in how it’s run. Other small touches- we asked for gluten free bread at breakfast and it promptly appeared with no problem.
