Judith and Wayne are exceptionally gracious hosts and made our stay at Regan House comfortable and memorable. Judith's breakfasts are exceptional! The gardens and grounds of Regan House are absolutely gorgeous. Can't recommend this B&B strongly enough!

I think it is important to counter some of the misleading reviews about breakfast and this accommodation being a bed and breakfast. The provided breakfast is minimal and adequate at best. In fact, of all the accommodations in New Zealand over the course of the past month that have provided breakfast , this was by far the most basic. Kinda reminds me of a cheap US motel chain next to the interstate type of breakfast. Also, some reviews mentioned little extras or touches. Not sure what reviewers were talking about. But otherwise, a really nice place. Just need to set proper expectations regarding breakfast.
Brecon Pond Bed & Breakfast is located in Stratford, just 27 miles from Yarrow Stadium and 9.3 miles from Hollard Gardens. With mountain views, this accommodation features a patio.

For B&Bs, Brecon Pond was exceptional in terms of the attractiveness of the surrounding property and the spaciousness and overall quality of the studio unit itself. Very friendly owners.

Very clean , peaceful and quaint with nice period touches and beautiful flowers. Fresh eggs and other breakfast options a nice benefit. Best value so far a month in on our trip. Better than the photos. It made me nostalgic for times past in a very good way.
For travelers who enjoy beauty in the simple things, a bed and breakfast (B&B) is the perfect place for a getaway. Hosts welcome guests into their homes and provide a private room and complimentary breakfast. Bathrooms might be shared by other guests, and there's usually shared space with the host.
Everything was provided for a great b'fast. Quiet, private setting. Lovely garden with view of the Mountain.
Comprehensive notes on how to work everything.
The actual layout of the kitchen / living was great - the actual kitchen could be cut off with sliding doors to make living room a relaxing, cosy space.
Unit was clean, comfortable, quiet, and private—we couldn't have asked for more. Especially appreciated the dozen eggs from their chickens and the honey from their bees. Owners were friendly and gave great activity suggestions. Thanks to them, we saw kiwis in the wild at a nearby reserve.
This is a very beautiful bed and breakfast. The room was absolutely beautiful with all the lovely touches. The hosts were so friendly and charming! Breakfast was very tasty and super fresh. We thoroughly enjoyed just chatting to these lovely hosts. Would definitely come again. Highly, highly recommended.
Everything.... nice location, quiet, private and good facility room. Only 25mins to New Plymouth and Countdown just 3rd driveway up the road so can walk. Taranaki Village a must visit to experience history and only short drive away. Good and safe environment.
What a gem of a place. Super quiet location with views of Taranaki (if he decides to show himself). Very private units, extremely nice hosts and Smokey the cat was a bonus.
1/ much better value than Stratford motels for equal standard - so of course I will come back -
2/ gd standard s/cont private & quiet
3/ helpful & pleasant manager
This bed and breakfast is the best we have stayed in. A very comfy bed. Absolutely everything you need. So many yummy breakfast things and treats in the Fridge. The view of the pond etc out the bedroom ranch slider was amazing. Beautiful gardens all round. The hosts are the best. Thank you so much for the 4 nights we had in a little haven. so quiet and peaceful
The breakfast (I chose Eggs Benedict) was beautifully presented and perfectly cooked. It was also paired with fresh fruit, toast, a pot of tea, and juice. The house was warm and cozy and is in a quiet, leafy location.
