Roelien and her team kept the house very warm with heaters throughout and electric blankets - we were there in exceptionally cold weather and greatly appreciated the extra efforts for keeping us warm in the house. Great location, very central, comfortable beds with lots of extra bedding provided for warmth. Roelien and her team were so friendly and made us feel right at home.

Great location and quirky home with an amazing cast iron stove for cooking, and it helped with warmth! Loved the art, and it's in the centre of town. The two hosts were wonderful!

Location was beautiful and charming. The farm and grounds are well kept. Cleanliness of the house was fantastic and appreciated. Enough supply of warm blankets and the room was cozy during the night with the assistance of the gas heater.

We stayed in the Meulhuis. The cottage has a beautiful view. We stayed in winter time, and all beds are equipped with heated electric blankets. There are wall heaters in both rooms, and a lovely little fireplace in the living room. The cottage is beautifully decorated in old Karoo style. We really enjoyed the peace and quiet, and the hosts were just lovely. WiFi worked great and access to the keys via lockbox made it very easy.

The peaceful and quiet rural location was what we were looking for, but yet not far from Sutherland. The house was very spacious with great bathrooms! The kitchen also had all the necessary appliances, including a coffee machine and the electric blankets on the beds really helped with the chilly weather.

Loved how quaint and old the house is. It was almost like staying in a museum. Private and remote with access to a gorgeous stream.
