South AfricaOldest house on the farm and crammed full of character! The facilities are basic in keeping with the cabin's age but it just adds to the charm.
If you are looking for an overnight stay to stargaze in Sutherland, then this place is perfect.
No cooking facilities but highly recommend The Blue Moon in town. There prices are reasonable and the food is VERY good (Lamb curry was especially good!)

We stayed in winter time, and all beds are equipped with heated electric blankets. There are wall heaters in both rooms, and a lovely little fireplace in the living room. The cottage is beautifully decorated in old Karoo style. We really enjoyed the peace and quiet, and the hosts were just lovely.
