The hotel has one of the most tranquil environments ever. Outstanding gardens, clean pools, clean rooms, air conditioning, the breakfast was an added bonus and you can also order dinner. The host is extremely amazing and kind. You can book a variety of activities through the hotel and they all worth it. The activity guides are well informed and extremely kind.

I really enjoyed this calm and wholesome place with friendly staff and beautiful, cozy rooms! They also support with activities and transportation upon request and also prepare lunch and dinner. I Kachikau, 34 kilometer fra Ngoma-porten, Chobe nasjonalpark, ligger Destiny Blo Inn, som har en hage, gratis privat parkering, en terrasse og en restaurant. The manager and owner of the accommodation was exceptionally helpful and service orientated. We were warmly welcomed and dinner was prepared for us (although we had forgotten to book it). During breakfast and dinner we had very nice conversations with the owner Chimney, which were of great value for the rest of the trip. As an experienced guide from the Chobe region, Chimney was able to give us lots of tips and suggestions. Thanks to his good network, he was also able to spontaneously organise various activities such as a boat trip and a horse riding excursion. I can highly recommend this new accommodation, even if it is in a somewhat rural area. It was perfect for me and my friends as the location allowed us to visit both the north and south of Chobe National Park.

POVI was like being at a family member’s house. You are in a real local neighborhood and Connie is a great hostess. My room was clean and tidied up daily. There was a refrigerator, air conditioning and mosquito net over the bed. Breakfast was served on time daily and I opted for lighter fare (coffee, juice, cereal and fruit). Additional items are available. The location is close to Chobe National Park and the tiny “village” area. I found it refreshing to relax at POVI after days of activities. Connie offered dinners prepared by her chef but I made my own arrangements. I had a car and that makes things easier but small Honda taxis are plentiful in the neighborhood and cheap. Connie is a great resource but modest. I accidentally found out that she has made history and is a pioneer featured in a long New York Times article. She was part of the first team of all-female guides in Botswana. All in all, if you want an authentic local experience and can forego luxury for a short time, POVI is easy on the pocketbook and good for the spirit. It is secure too.
