This family-run guest house is quietly situated in Stadt Wehlen in the heart of the Saxon Switzerland National Park, directly below the world-famous Bastei rock formation. Very nice room with small kitchenette. Perfect starting point for hiking in rocky areas around. Excellent breakfasts.

Set within 24 km of Pillnitz Castle and Park and 24 km of Saxon Switzerland National Park in Kurort Rathen, Eisenbahnwelten provides accommodation with seating area. The room was clean and comfortable. The location is ideal, just a few minutes walk in one direction from the train station with its excellent rail service and a few steps to the ferry giving access to the main village of Unterrathen with the Bastei and walks in the Saxon Switzerland region immediately facing the house. Use of both rail travel and ferry are free with the guest card provided. The buffet breakfast was superb and could not have been better. But what made the stay totally unique was the amazing view from the room window of the river and village together with the huge open-air model railway complex surrounding the house. The staff were consistently friendly and obliging.

The staff were excellent and friendly. Location is superb. Important that guests read carefully the instructions how to get to the facility. It is in a nature park and needs permission to drive there. Do not rely on Google map as it sends you the wrong way.

Offering a garden and garden view, Pension Kleiner König is set in Struppen-Siedlung, 3.2 km from Königstein Fortress and 18 km from Saxon Switzerland National Park. Everything was great! The vicinity of Pension Kleiner König is beautiful and peaceful. The room was very clean and comfortable. Additionally, we enjoyed a great and varied breakfast. The host was friendly, hospitable, and charming. We would definitely recommend this place for a stay.

8.5 km from Pillnitz Castle and Park, Pension Donatus is set in Pirna and offers free WiFi, express check-in and check-out and concierge services. This is a lovely, peaceful property in the heart of old Pirna. Very friendly staff. Good breakfast included. Plenty of restaurants and bars close by. Bus and train stations 15 minutes walk away, which make access to Saxony Switzerland and Dresden so easy. Both of them are about 20 minutes by train. Old Pirna is lovely and Pension Donatus was the perfect choice for sightseeing in the area. By the way, the car park at the Pension (£10 a night) is so cool. You drive the car into the garage, take all your luggage out, and it disappears to a car park underground 😄

Located in Hinterhermsdorf and only 28 km from Königstein Fortress, FH Am Osterbrunnen provides accommodation with quiet street views, free WiFi and free private parking. The house was cozy and traditional, all in wood, nonetheless with the comforts and equipment of a modern flat (every utensil we could need was already available). The hosts are very helpful and kind :) We loved our stay, thank you!
