We do recommend going there with a high 4x4 and to start driving early. We didn’t know about the road and started driving there late, so we ended up arriving at 11pm. It was totally our fault and Levan was so kind to come pick us up from Lower Omalo and make some late night dinner for us. Thank you!!!!

They offer dinner and breakfast (we’ve had dinner and the food is homemade and delicious) They offered to come get us in Alvani and we felt very safe during the drive. I would recommend this place to anyone!

Offering a garden and quiet street view, Guest house Babaka is set in Sighnaghi, 3.1 km from Bodbe Monastery and 700 metres from Sighnaghi National Museum. This property offers access to a terrace, free private parking and free WiFi. The guest house features family rooms. The couple running Guest House Babaka are lovely people. They were warm and made us feel welcome. Although we didn't have any languages in common, it was nothing that couldn't be solved with the help of Google Translate. After reading reviews about the food, we did ask for dinner. Dinner was an incredible spread of food with delicious homemade wine. All the food was delicious. The terrace was a comfortable place to hang out and there were two adorable dogs who liked to come by. The location was great. It's about a 5 minute walk to the center, which we knew. It's uphill going to town, but totally doable if you enjoy walking. Super quiet. We slept great. There really wasn't anything we didn't like. It was exactly what I was looking for, which was a simple homestay rather than a hotel. To that end, it feels like you're staying in an extension of someone's home, although the space we stayed in is very much separate from the house and pretty private. It's perfect if you're going in with those expectations, which we were. :)

Mzia was like a mother to us - she was incredibly friendly and welcoming, preparing delicious breakfast for us in the morning and telling us about all the interesting places to visit. We would love to come back!
